Jan's House of Blues- Prologue to Generation 2, Part Two by Keiler

Life has been difficult without Dad.  Mom decided to retire from the daycare business as she was finding it to hard to cope without Christopher.   I think a big round of applause and congratulations should go to my mother, Jan Steel, for all the hard work she put into her two careers.  Before moving to Bridgeport, she had reached the top of the police force in Sunset Valley and then reached level five in daycare, plus raising six children of her own, Mom led a very productive life.  No matter how busy things got, Mom would always take time to make sure our needs were always met and encouraged us to follow our dreams.   Mom also hired a butler, Malissa Vidal, to help take care of the house and she is great at keeping the place clean and fixes us delicious meals.

Two days after Christopher's death we held a funeral in his honor remembering all the good things he did for others.  Everyone had something nice to say about Dad which helped ease the pain of his loss.  Dad would have been proud of Isaac, Vaunda, and Grace who all graduated a few days later with honors and Isaac was selected to be valedictorian of the graduation class.

Mom threw a wonderful birthday party for Vaunda and Grace the day before graduation and invited family and friends.   Both Charity and Johanna were able to come and Mom gave them new outfits to wear as well.   Grace seems to be developing a little romantic relationship with her friend Tobias Duff and we'll have more on that a little later.   The birthday party was extra special as well because Alicia gave birth to our first son, Tyler, who looks just like his proud father.  Mom was thrilled as well to see her first grandchild born into the family.

Alicia is self employed as a sculpture and she wants to master sculpting, inventing, and painting skills during her lifetime.  She is very artistic, so I'm sure that Alicia can do anything she puts her mind to.  I'm now a paramedic in the medical field so my dream is processing along quite well.

Shortly after graduation,  Isaac was offered a job at the Science Lab in Twinbrook which he decided to accept and moved there a few days ago.  I am very happy for Isaac and wish him all the best in his new endeavors.  Isaac sent us a telegram saying that he is getting settled and has met the most wonderful girl, Carol Funke and they were married in a quiet ceremony and already have their first child, Ian.   I'm sure my new sister-in-law will give you all the details.  Vaunda has gotten a job at the local science center and Grace has joined the police force as she wants to become an international super spy.

Sadly, Mom passed away two days ago leaving the family to mourn her loss.  Even Alicia had grown to love her as her second mother.  We will be hosting Mom's memorial service in a couple days and she has already been laid to rest next to Dad.   Although our parents are gone, they will continue to live on in our hearts and we will make sure that our children and grandchildren know all about the life that Chris and Jan lived and the legacy that they left for their children no matter where they live.

On a brighter note,  Tobias and Grace have fallen in love and are now engaged.  They plan to get married sometime after Jan's memorial service and then move to Sunset Valley as Grace wants to work in police department where her mother worked.  Vaunda will probably stay with us for now until her true love comes along and sweeps her off her feet.

Well, Jan's house of blues has now become Keiler's House of Artists  and Musicians as I'm developing a name for myself in the music world on the side.  Stay tuned for further developing news.

Keiler.

Jan's House of Blues- Prologue to Generation Two

This is Keiler Steel taking over the story for my mother, Jan who says that since I'm the heir of the family, it is now my turn to continue the family's story.  I'm writing this with both a heavy and happy heart at the same time.  Happy because I just married the love of my life, Alicia Diggs and sad because my father, Christopher passed away just before my wedding ceremony.  So I dedicate this writing to my wonderful, loving father who always put his family's needs before his own.  As you know Dad and Mom loved each other so much that everybody saw them as eternally faithful to each other.  As a new husband I pray that I will be as faithful to Alicia in honor of both my father and mother.

Before the wedding, Isaac and Grace attended their prom and were voted King and Queen respectively.  Grace needs to learn to control her anger though as she got into three fights with other students.  Vaunda got so caught up in getting her homework done, that she missed the prom but maybe another dance will come up before her graduation.  All three are honor students and Isaac and Vaunda want to be robot creature creators and Grace wants to be an international super spy.  Vaunda and Grace will eventually get an apartment on their own but there is no rush and they are welcome to live here with Alicia and I as long as they want.  Mom will live with us and help us raise our children for as long as she is spared to us.  Hopefully Isaac will find a wife someday to settle down with but until then he can also live with us.  We will all help Mom with her daycare until she decides to retire but she loves taking care of the children.

Until next time,
Keiler Steel

"The Legacy of a Stable Home Life"

Chapter One:  All Good Things Come to Those Who Wait, Including Love

I, Mindy Cal, just moved to Bridgeport to start a career in music which will help me reach my goal of mastering the guitar and charismatic skills.  The second skill comes natural to me, so with lots of interactions with the public and friends, I should be able to master that in no time.   My real estate agent found me a nice condo style apartment at 5601 19th Avenue, which is very affordable to new residents and has had great reviews from previous tenants.

Most of the people in Bridgeport are very friendly and Hyacinth Atkins and Beau Merrick came to welcome me.  We visited and I made autumn salad for dinner and was surprise that Beau could have some as he is a vampire.  Imagine meeting a vampire on your first day in town, exciting.  Contrary to popular belief that vampires are scary and mean, in this town they actually look and dress just like the rest of us, except they wear a lot of black.  Even though Beau is grumpy and has a mean streak, he actually is a nice guy under his tough exterior.  Like they say, you can't judge a book by it's cover.  Hyacinth and I became quick friends as she came back to visit the next night.  Beau also came to visit one evening and we had a nice chat and danced to the radio.  Haven't seen him since, so will have to give him a call to see how he is doing.

Work is going quite well and I've already made it to Stagehand in the music career.  Tom Wordy is my boss and came over to visit one night and we became friends which gave me an instant two star  celebrity status as he is a VIP in the town.  Romeo Rake surprised me with a visit the other night and we hit right off  as we talked and danced together (My creator Silver is secretly hoping we get together as a couple, but we will have to wait and see).   The next day after work, I took a guitar course to jump start that skill and then afterward had a lot of fun jamming with another Sim outside the theater. In my spare time I also like to work out to maintain my athletic figure.  Tom, my manager, wants me to go to Egypt to run in the desert for an hour.  I have another engagement to do first at a local bar and then will probably take a working/vacation to Egypt to make my boss happy.

Well that about sums up my first two weeks in town where there is never a dull moment.  As every girl dreams of, who will be the man to sweep me off my feet?  Romeo's done a good job of that so far.  Will he be the one or is there someone else in store for me?  Stay tuned to find answers to that question as my life unfolds in a little city called Bridgeport.

My celebrity agent had me go to the Plasma 501 bar to promote one of their drinks and what a knock out drink as I crashed soon after getting home for the night and woke up not remembering anything I did in the past week.   Silver, my creator, says that due to a power outage everything I did during that time period was wiped out so it is if the week didn't happen.  One thing I won't forget though is the evening spent with Romeo, what a hunk!

Shortly after befriending Tom Wordy, he invited me to my first party.  I had a lot of fun and played my guitar with the other musicians.   Vladimir Schlick, a local vampire, invited me to his party shortly after that.  The party was kind of dull as he went to bed shortly after I arrived, some party and here I thought vampires knew how to have fun.  There is no shortage of visitors in Bridgeport as friends and neighbors tend to drop in at all hours of the night.  I don't mind, though as it keeps a girl from getting lonely.   My co-worker, Buster Round and I have become best friends and we've had a couple of fun outings together dancing and watching the stars together.  Nothing romantically developed in out relationship as he is quite a bit older than me, so we are happy being friends.

My music career is going well and have been promoted to music talent scout and later I hope to join the rock branch on my next promotion.  I am also progressing well in my goal to master both the guitar and charisma skills.  To jump start my guitar skills, I took a class after work one day.  There is not a lot of room to practice in my apartment, so I have either go to the park or play wherever I can find room.  I've also completed the first two charisma challenges so making friends is a lot easier.  In my spare time I like to workout and keep my athletic abilities in top notch.  Exercise is also a great stress reliever.

The local restaurant wants me to make Falafel for them which is an Egyptian dish, so I went to Egypt to buy the recipes.  Fikry Ameen wanted me to find some important government papers for him in the Tomb of Discovery, which I did and then he sent me to Tahiya Shalut for other assignments.  Tahiya and I became quick friends and after finding special stones and interviewing three locals, she sent me into the Tomb of the Burning Sands for some flame fruit but my trip was over before I could finish the mission.   Upon returning home, my boss wanted me to go back to Egypt to learn more about Egyptian music.  Why he didn't ask me to do this before I went the first time, I'll never know  but one must keep their boss happy, so I returned to Egypt a few days later and got the information he need.  Unfortunately I couldn't finish the flame fruit job as the door had been relocked and I had used the key on my first trip.   A couple of the locals had me busy with jobs though.  Relic merchant, Zahra Diab had me find thirteen pieces of copper to make relic replicas for her store and Farouk  Rashid wanted me to retrieve a special relic for him that someone had left in the Tomb of Discovery.  Sometimes I don't know what the citizens of Egypt would do without us tourists as every time I visit there is always something to repair, this time it was the toilet.

Well I have one day left in my visit to Egypt and it should be filled with adventure.  Oh, I bought a snake charming basket and love to try my hand at snake charming when I get a chance.

Upon my return home, I finally got a chance to take the cooking class that I've been dying to take at the local diner.  Afterwards, I started an impromptu jam session by inviting those around me to play their instruments with me.   It was a lot of fun playing with eight other townies outside the diner and everyone that dinner there really enjoyed show we put on.

Work is a lot of fun right now as I have joined the rock music branch of my music career.  Have already put on two concerts that were well attended and like to perform for the school children when the come to tour the theatre.  This has helped to improve my relationships with my co-workers and have become best friends with them all.

The biggest and best news is that I now have a finally found my true love.  Mick Situp has started stopping in for a visit more frequently since returning from Egypt and we have grown to love each other and just the other night we made our relationship public as we agreed to date each other exclusively.  We shared our first kiss to seal our love with each other and hope to be engaged and married in the near future and then find a bigger apartment to live in so we can raise a small family.

Mick and I saw each other almost daily after our engagement and we went on two wonderful dates together.  On our first date, I serenaded Mick with a song I wrote just for him and the second one we just stayed at home visiting, watching TV, dancing and of course some mushy stuffy.  Mick actually stayed so late that I left my sleeping bag out for him in case he got too tired to drive home and then went to bed myself.   The next day we decided it was time to get married and  I threw a small wedding party at my apartment for our close friends.    At the party, Mick and I quickly exchanged our rings and as our wedding guests were our witnesses we finally became husband and wife.  We hated to cut our wedding celebration short but my apartment was too small for us to live in, so after checking out the real estate listings on line we bought a one bedroom penthouse at 20563 17th Avenue which I think was in the same building where Mick lived before our wedding.  The penthouse is beautiful and after redecorating a little and adding a second bedroom we settled in to begin our new lives together.  There is even a little garden plot in the front of the building where Mick can work on his gardening skills to further his career in science.

Chapter Two:   Family Life

Shortly after we were married, I became pregnant with our first child.  With parenthood comes the responsibility of raising our children with lots of love and deciding what kind of a legacy to leave them with as both Mick and I know that our days are numbered as we are getting close to our senior years.  After much discussion,   we decided that living a moral life was the one thing that we wanted to pass to our children and future generations.  Mick and I know that living in the big city has the potential of luring the younger generation into doing things that would bring shame to their parents.  Lack of patience in many areas of life especially in romance is beginning to characterize the younger generation.  Many fall into the trap of believing that just because someone says they like your doesn't mean that they are in love and instead of waiting for their one true love, the young people of today fall for the first one that comes along and walk blindly into what they think is love but then through a series of heartbreaks they learn the hard way that blind love does not work.  Then there are those who jump from lover to lover  and then end up not knowing when the 'right one' comes along'.  So Mick and I want to teach our children how to live morally and wait patiently for the one who will become their life long partner in marriage.   Sometimes it can take awhile, like for Mick and I  and for some it comes a lot sooner but in the end 'true love' is always worth the wait as it helps to prevent a lot of heartbreak and broken up homes.  For Mick and I the wait has already paid off as we are now known as the "faithful" couple Bridgeport.  We would also like to praise our friends Keiler and Alicia for receiving the 'eternally faithful' recognition of the city.

Well our first child has arrived into the world and is now a happy toddler whom we named Michael after his father.  Mick and I are currently teaching him the things he needs to know before he starts school.   Unfortunately my second pregnancy ended with a miscarriage and now that I'm about to age up into my senior years, Mick and I have decided to adopt a baby girl who was recently dropped off at the local orphanage and we plan to name her Mitzi after my best friend I had growing up.  Mick has also received a promotion at work and we both have received requests to aid at various functions in our city.

Please join Mick and I as we enter our twilight years and raise our children to be happy, productive and moral living adults in  a world that is full of immorality and heartbreak which is the main cause of broken homes and unhappy children in the world.  If we can start teach our children how to live right as children the maybe that would result in a lot less violent crimes on the street.

Just after I left you, I received a job offer in the mail from the Twinbrook Llama soccer team offering me a chance to join their team.  Mick had just left on a trip to China when I this was received so naturally was waiting to talk it over with him when he called.  Shortly after that I received word from my husband that his plane had to make an emergency landing at the airport in Twinbrook due to technical difficulties with the flight.  Both Mick and I took this as a sign to pack up and move to Twinbrook so I could accept the job offer and Mick also decided to make a career change and is going to join the local business office.

Someone had left a little welcome gift for us that was a special doll for our son Michael as he had to leave his first one behind.   Our new home is located at 39 Sweetwater Loop with a nice yard with room to garden and have a tree house for our children.   The little girl we were going to adopt is actually here at the orphanage in Twinbrook as a social worker in Bridgeport arranged to bring her here so that we can complete the adoption process.  Our friends, Isaac and Carol Steel who lived here before sent us a some diluted Fountain of Youth water that Isaac found at his science lab and with a little experimentation was able find a formula that would take Mick and I back to when we just reached our adult years.   This gives us more time to raise our family so now that we are no longer in the big city our legacy focus is changing to teaching our children about the importance of providing a stable, loving home for children to grow up in which of course includes a good moral upbringing.

Shortly after getting our family settled into our new home,  brave little Misty was born into the family with black hair like her mother.  Of course, uncle Isaac had to send her a special doll as well as he loves to spoil our children and when Misty was old enough, she named her doll Beth and just loves her to pieces.    Michael started school a few days after Mitzi joined the family and has since aged up to his teenage years and breezes through his studies with straight A's.  At his prom, Michael was voted King and by the end of the evening had become romantically involved with Emerald Greenwood.   Mick and I have to teach Michael to control his outbursts of emotions that can sometimes turn into fights as he has a tendency to dramatized things and make mountains out of mole hills when issues arise in his life.   Michael is very intelligent and has decided that he wants to be a chess legend someday.

Mitzi also received honors when she graduated from elementary school.  She is our athletic child and loves the outdoors and has taken to fishing.  In fact, Mitzi loves fishing so much, that she wants to present the perfect aquarium someday with thirteen perfect fish, each of a different species.  Misty is also doing well in school and has signed up for ballet classes that are being offered at the school on Thursdays.  Mitzi had fun learning all sorts of useful survival techniques for different situations in life.
Shortly after Misty started school, Mick and I adopted a young boy by the name of Miguel whose father had passed away suddenly and his mother gone into such a deep depression over her husband's death that she could no longer give her son the care that he needed.

Mick worked in business for a few years and then was offered a higher position in the local government offices when he accepted.  He is doing so well in the political field that he has already become a town councilman.  I'm now a rookie on the local soccer team and will soon be playing in games once my maternity leave is over.   My boss wanted me to learn martial arts, so I took a quick trip to China to get the necessary equipment.  While there, I found an ancient relic for one of the locals and explored the caverns under the market and brought home some relics for the children in case they needed them for school.   I also found a garden where I  picked some pomelos, cherries, and potatoes to plant in my garden back home but the best part of the trip was when I visited the Scholar's Garden which is so beautiful.  There was an area there set up for practicing martial arts and was able to earn my first badge before coming home.

Life is flying by fast and I'm have reached my twilight years and Mick will soon be joining me in that age group as he is about to celebrate his birthday.  I think I'll take him back to the Banzai Lounge, which just recently opened in Twinbrook for a romantic evening.   We had a date together there before my trip where we had a wonderful time together.

Chapter 3  Watching Our Children Grow Up

Shortly after returning from China,  Mick and I had the joyous, yet tearful moment of seeing our youngest child start school.  Miguel is doing well and is also bringing home top marks and has a scavenger hunt to do this weekend.  He has to find various insects and bring them into school for extra marks.   Both Mitzi and Misty are on the honor roll in school and Mitzi recently returned from trip to France where she was asked by her teacher to interview a local from that country.  She had a lot of fun exploring a tomb and visiting the Nectary.  She brought home some special nectar grapes and a nectar making machine in hopes of learning how to make nectar.  When she graduates, Mitzi plans to move to a new town called Hidden Springs to set up her dream aquarium.  She is best friends with her classmate, Marcos Hunter and I wouldn't be surprise if they become romantically involved as they looked like they were having a good time watching the stars together, this evening.

Michael has graduated from high school at the top of his class and was named valedictorian and that makes his parents and siblings so proud of him.   After graduation, Michael took Emerald out on a dinner date and are now officially dating and I'm sure that wedding bells will be ringing in the near future.  Mick and I have decided to leave our estate to our eldest son and pray that he will carry on the legacy that we've taught our children of providing a stable and loving home life for our descendents which of course, results in a lifetime of faithfulness to one's family.

Mick and I have both reached our senior years and are still very much in love with each other.  In fact, our love only grows stronger with each passing day.  This has been very evident to our neighbors and friends and just like we did in Bridgeport we have gained the "eternally faithful" distinction here in Twinbrook.   Our careers are both going well, and I am now a rookie on the local soccer team with games on Wednesdays and Sundays.  Unfortunately we lost our first game but it was a close one and hopefully we can rebound to win the second.    Mick is now a town representative in the local government and plans to hold a campaign raiser one of these days.  He has several things on the go right now as someone is always wanting him to do something for them.    I'm also working at getting him fit and helped reach the first step towards physical fitness.

Chapter Four:  The Twilight Years

Lots of exciting things have happened since we last chatted, the most exciting of which is that our son, Michael and Emerald have become husband and wife at last.   We are very proud of Michael as has already received the reputation of being 'faithful' by our family, friends, and acquaintances here in Twinbrook as he remained faithful to Emerald throughout throughout their dating period.  Mick and I can't wait until the grandchildren start to arrive.   The wedding as beautiful and held in our own backyard with family and friends in attendance.  If fact, even though the wedding is over some of the guests are still cheering for the bride and groom.  Emerald had a beautiful wedding dress and the men of the family all work black tuxedos.   We plan to have the next wedding at the new wedding chapel in town as it just opened to the public, today.  Like he always does, the Grim Reaper did crash the wedding and took one of the guests but other than than that the wedding went off without a hitch.

Emerald has settled happily into our family and also wants to master the logic skill like Michael but she wants to be known as the Tinkerer and master handiness as well.  Michael wants to be a Chess legend someday.  Mick and I are proud to have her as our daughter-in-law.

Mick and I have decided to pass our legacy on in a different way by having two of our children as co-heirs  with the oldest being the primary heir.   Michael and Emerald will be the official heirs to our estate while Mitzi will continue to live with them while she completes her lifetime dream or gets married which ever comes first with the option of either staying as co-heir with Michael or moving out on her own if Mitzi wishes to do so.   We do plan to move to a larger home with more land so that if Mitzi decides to live on the family estate with her family there will be room to build them a house of their own.

Mitzi, Misty and Miguel have all attended their prom.  Miguel and Mitzi were vote prom king and queen and were thrill to receive that honor.  Unfortunately neither were able to find someone to dance with that night, so they just had fun tearing up the dance floor, themselves.  They also both got into a couple of fights but the evening turned out alright.  The night really went to Misty as Zachary Jones-Brown confessed his attraction to her and they quickly became romantically involved.

I am now a starter on the local Llama Soccer Team and we won our game the day before the wedding.
Mick is now mayor of Twinbrook and has changed his lifetime wish to becoming world leader as he hasn't had the time to work on his mixology skills.  We both have the day off today to see our daughter, Mitzi graduate from high school and then she can focus on her aquarium.   Misty and Miguel just came home from France where they had to interview a local for school.  They had lots of fun where Misty learned how to make nectar and Miguel helped solve a mystery at the local museum.

The time has come to past our story onto Michael to continue writing our legacy with help from Mitzi in the upcoming second generation of our family.  Thank you for joining Mick and I from our start in Bridgeport and for following us to Twinbrook to raise our family.  Take care everybody and may you all reach your lifetime goals but not at the expense of your family as they come first.

Your friends,

Mindy & Mick

Legacy of Redford Explorers

This is the story of Sandy and Goldie Redford who moved to Riverview to start a family to get settled in their careers.   With help from their real estate agent, the Redfords bought a nice home on  Dogwood Lane known as the Chihuahua Teacup house.  After fixing it up to suit their family needs, Sandy and Goldie moved in.  Riverview is a nice little town, whose residents are very friendly and welcoming.   Meadow Carpenter-Rhodes, Melvin Taft, and Norman Joy all came to welcome their new neighbors.  After a nice visit, Goldie cooked up some hot dogs for supper.

Sandy joined the political career but his ultimate goal is to explore at least six tombs in China, Egypt, and France and hopes that his descendents will be able to not only complete his goal if he runs out of time but eventually do all adventures in those countries.   His career is off to a great start and has already received his third promotion as is now Campaign Intern.  Just before Goldie found out she was pregnant, Sandy went on his first adventure to France and found Lea Dutiel's baseball for her in the ancient burial ground.  He camped out in the tomb the first night and finished his task the next morning.  The tomb also yielded several bottles of aged nectar.   Nectar merchant, Manon Goddard asked Sandy to harvest some Cherimola grapes and then proceeded to teach him how to make nectar.  Sandy had so much fun making the nectar that he bought a nectar making and storage shelves for the nectar.  Manon had asked him to make nectar from some limes she gave him and he did that when he returned home, so when Sandy returns to France he will deliver it to Manon.  Sandy has been developing his charismatic skills and has also earned his first celebrity star.   He just threw his first party for his friends and neighbors and they had a wonderful time.

Goldie has joined the local police force and is now best friends with her best friend, Hal.  She has been promoted to patrol officer.  A natural cook, Goldie wants to learn all the recipes that are available if she can and if not hopes that someone in her legacy's family will continue her dream.  The Redfords are also happy to announce the safe arrival of their first child, a daughter named Lacey who is brave like her father and friendly like her mother.   Sandy has taken up gardening to grow the ingredients that his wife will need for her recipes.  It looks like Goldie will also be the handy Sim of the household as she enjoys fixing things.

The Redfords have settled quite well into their new home in Riverview and have made some friendships with their co-workers and other townsfolk.  Sandy has been invited to a few parties.  The first one was at  Meadow Carpenter-Rhodes' party where he met Hope Carpenter and they quickly became really good friends.   A few nights later,  Sandy was also invited to an evening of fun at Norman and Elaine Joy's place where he gained his first celebrity star and has since progressed to being recognized as a 'Notable Figure' due to his natural ability when it comes to making friends.   Goldie has been happy to live her life humbly in the background of her husband's growing popularity but has also managed to get her foot in the celebrity world as well.  Sandy threw his first party for his friends shortly after getting settled in town and was very pleased that everyone had a great time.

Both Sandy and Goldie are doing well in their respective careers and have received several promotions due to their hard work and dedication while on the job.  Sandy is now a town councilman and is planning to have a campaign fundraiser in the near future.  Goldie is a lieutenant in the police force and is planning to join the special agent division on her next promotion.  She has to go to France soon to get another relic for her boss to check for any smuggling operations.

Lacey has aged up into a cute blonde young girl.  Full of life, Lacey loves to play with her imaginary friend, Penny and is doing well in school.  Sandy took a trip to Egypt to get her a relic that she needed to get for her teacher for a cultural display at school and also brought a couple back for Goldie to give to her boss.   Just before Lacey's birthday,  her baby sister, Krystal was welcomed into the world.  Krystal was sent a special doll by a distant cousin to play with when she is older.

The Redford home is always open to their friends and neighbors if they want to come for a visit and take a break from their daily mundane home lives.  One day, Sandy and Goldie invited Hope Carpenter who is Meadow's mother and has become best friends with Sandy.  Since she's a widow,  Sandy invited her to spend the night and they had fun doing the usual things talking, eating good found and of course everybody's favorite pass time, playing in the sprinkler.  Hope was even a big help in putting Lacey to bed and feeding her when she got hungry.   This would be one of the last times that the Redford would see Hope as shortly after that Sandy received word that she had passed peacefully away in her sleep.

About this time, Sandy was promoted to the city counsel and enjoyed giving inspirational speeches to many of his family, friends, and new contacts.   The people of the town are drawn to Sandy and drink in everything he says and Sandy always becomes friends with everyone he meets and because of this the citizens of Riverview then voted for Sandy in the towns municipal elections to lead them as mayor.  Since Sandy had heard about the recent murders in neighboring Twinbrook and surrounding areas, one of the first things he did when taking office was to propose a new course of action that would prevent any organized crime cells from getting a foothold in the town by setting up a neighborhood watch program where citizens would keep an eye out for any suspicious activity and open their homes to anyone who was in trouble a safe refuge.   He also introduced a zero tolerance policy to those who would exploit and threaten the innocent with their lives and because he heard that adopted children were being the target of this organized crime ring he decided to oversee all adoptions him self and keep the records safely locked in his office to prevent anyone from tampering with the papers.   Since these new policies went into place the crime rate in Riverview has dropped significantly and residents are breathing a sigh of relief.

After getting settled into the office of Mayor, Sandy decided to return to France to deliver the lime nectar he had made for Manon and shocked her when he also had three bottles of very nice Renaud grape/apple nectar that he especially prepared for her.  While in France, Sandy found some Meloire Grapes on the property of an old abandon mansion next to the river to use in future bottles of nectar.  He then decided to visit the local museum and found a the entrance to a secret passageway and explored the tunnels under the museum.  Just before leaving for home Sandy got a request to find out why the guards at the museum were quitting and will finish that mission on his next return to France.

Goldie also took a trip to France to solve speak to a local about a problem that needed solving.  While there she found the third relic needed for her boss that he needed for his smuggling case.  She also helped special merchant Andre Lefevre with his research project on the history of nectar making by retrieving some papers from the old Landgraab mansion.  After disarming the traps, she was able to return the papers to Andre.  Goldie also met and made friends with family who were the third generation descendents of one of the founding families of Champs des Sims.

Shortly after the death of Hope Carpenter both Sandy and Goldie aged up into adulthood and experienced mid-life crises because of things that they had not gotten to do that were related to their lifetime wishes.  Sandy dealt with his by revisiting Egypt to finish exploring the Tomb of the Burning Sands to get the flaming fruit that Inji Fikry wanted.  After spending the night in the tomb because the fruit wasn't ripened, Sandy was able to get the requested fruit also picked some for his garden and finish exploring the tomb and then paid the Fikry's a visit to deliver the fruit.  Mr Fikry was making salad for supper when Sandy arrived and he was invited to stay for supper.  The Fikrys became very special people to Sandy and he was sad to learn that not too long after returning from his trip that Inji had become a widow.    On his next visit to Egypt, Sandy has to infilterate the MorcuCorp's database in the basement of Samir Amin's home.  He plans to learn some computer skills first to aid him on this mission.

Goldie's midlife crisis was a little more dramatic but she managed to get through it by making a career change.  The local Llama soccer team offered her a Rookie position on their team which was one level up on her old position as a police.  She accepted and went right to work improving her athletic skills, so far her teammates are very impressed with her work ethic and her boss has already promoted her to a starter position for their games.  Although Goldie played hard in her first game, unfortunately her team was trounced by their opponents but she knows the Llamas can rebound the next time.

Back on the home front, Lacey has aged up into a beautiful teenager and she hopes that someday her relationship with her best friend Oscar Alphender will develop into something more.  I think it will as he offered to teach her how to drive and Lacey now has her driver's license.   Krystal has aged up into a sweet child and just went to her first day of school.

Now for the big news,  over the weekend Sandy went to a party at Laurel Grisby's and while there chatted the whole time with his co-worker, Lorraine Cantina and they became best friends.  Out of the blue, Lorraine  invited Sandy and his family to move in with her as she was lonely in her house all by herself.  Sandy agreed and offered to renovate Lorraine's upstairs and add a basement to make things for comfortable for them all.   Between Lorraine and Goldie they also managed to put new siding and windows in the house and redecorated the whole house.   Sandy even replanted his garden and while he is waiting for his new plants to grow, he can still harvest his old plants as their old house is actually behind Lorraine's house.

This begins the next chapter in the Redford family.  Lorraine is now a senior so probably won't be around too much longer.  Sandy feels privileged that Lorraine wanted his family to keep her company in her twilight years.

Silver River Ranch, Generation 1, continued

Nick and Silver both received a two day vacation away from the kids, so Oliver stepped in to take care of the twins while they were gone and did a marvelous job.  While he and Vicki were at school, a babysitter from the local high school took care of Sylvia and Nicola.   Nicola and Sylvia are about to celebrate their birthdays.  Nicola has finally been potty trained and  Sylvia still has to finish learning this important part of a child's development but she is almost there.

Silver must be having too much fun on her vacation, as Nick is the only one that returned after the two days.  Hope she comes home soon as the family misses her.  Nick is currently attending to his garden so the weeds don't overtake it.

Oliver just signed up for music club at school as he loves playing his guitar.  After finishing his homework he asked Olga out on a date and are currently watching a movie together.  Olga is acting kind of funny as each she says something to him she jumps to another spot.  She is dressed in a beautiful gown and  wants to hug her amorously but for some reason cannot seem to make the first move.  Her beautiful gown must have made him speechless.

Vicki has joined the ballet club at school and is having a lot of fun.  Tonight she has learned a new dance to show off to her parents.  Her imaginary friend is still an important part of her life, so she is experimenting with new potions.  The first potion she tried to make blew up but Vicki is not a quitter, so she will try again as the saying goes 'If at first you don't succeed try, try, try again'

Silver River Ranch has met an unfortunate demise as the children seem to have gone into a deep depression since finding out their mother was in a tragic accident while away on vacation and did not survive her injuries.  Nick has been coping but it's hard when the rest of the family is not communicating, so he and the children are taking an extended trip to an undisclosed location so the family can have time to heal.  Since Riverview now holds too many painful memories, Nick will be looking for a new town to rebuild their lives in.  Although, Silver is no longer living, her memory will stay alive in their hearts and will always be remembered as a beloved wife and mother.  Someday her descendents will have that horse farm Silver dreamed of and name the ranch in honor of her memory.

Silver River Ranch, Generation 1

This is the story of Nick and Silver Day who recently moved to Riverview and built a beautiful ranch house on Farmer Valley Road with the dream of having horses someday and what is a farm without some cats and a dog. Nick is an adventurer at heart and wants to explore six tombs in each country of China, Egypt and France before his life is over and have a family to cherish. His wife, Silver wants to be a world renown surgeon as she is a nurturer at heart wants to help people stay healthy. Nick has also joined the local military and takes pride in serving his
fellow citizens.

Nick is very much a hopeless romantic and loves to skinny dip in the hot tub when no one is looking. Those days are over for awhile now as Nick and Silver have welcomed a bouncing baby boy, Oliver, into the world. Silver has gained
her first celebrity star on her own by befriending her boss at the hospital. Nick might need some help in that department but is content to live his life quietly. He has also made friends with a couple of his co-workers. Both he and Silver have received promotions in their jobs already. Nick has learned Martial Arts help him in his career.

Romance is really in the air in this house as Nick and Silver have been on two special dates together. The second ended in the arrival of Oliver into this world after and evening of going to the movies and eating dinner at the Bistro. They also like to spend time in the hot tub together after a long day at work. Nick is turning out to be the cook in the house and likes to prepare special meals for his family.

Baby Oliver was sent a special toy when he was born and is really enjoying playing with it now that he is a toddler.  He named his special doll, Riley and loves her to pieces but will Oliver eventually put her aside as he grows up and makes real friends?  We will have to wait and see.

Shortly after Oliver's birth things began to heat up  in their story. The Day family have settled in nicely to Riverview and have met and made many new friends. Nick had been promoted to Wingman in the military and Silver is now Gene Therapist at the hospital. Oliver is now in school and is already a straight A student.

Shortly after getting settled into their careers, Nick and Silver hosted a party for their new friends. Everyone had a great time and said that the party was epic. Both Nick and Silver have gained two celebrity stars and the paparazzi have being busy in trying to destroy their reputation with false accusations. First, Nick was accused of cheating on his wife with another local. This was found out just as he and Silver were going to try for another baby. Nick quickly apologized and dispelled the rumor but understandably Silver was still angry with him for 24 hours. Three days after that Silver was rumored to have gotten in a fight so now she has the bag over her head for three days. Despite the rumors, they went out on a date together and left toddler Oliver with a babysitter. They went to a movie and then to dinner but the date got cut short when Silver was called to the hospital for an emergency.

Oliver was sent a special doll when he was born and when he reached his toddler years he spent all of his playing time with his doll. He named her (the doll) Riley and loves to sing and play with her. Now that Oliver is in school he takes her everywhere. Much to his joy and surprise, he put Riley on the ground one day after school and she came alive and he had a lot of fun playing tag with her.

Nick has become best friends with his co-workers and one day had one of them Lee Chung (a vampire) over one day for a visit. They played hopscotch together and Lee kept losing and when Nick and Silver went to bed, he stuck around and played until he got it right and ended up napping on the outdoor loveseat on the patio and then also napped on the living room couch. Nick thought he was going to have to invite him to move in as Lee stuck around all the next day, playing on the water slide and with other big toys in the house. Lee left the following morning when it was time to go to work.

Things are getting exciting in this household. Nick and Silver have adopted an orphaned baby girl, whom they named Vicki. She is dark haired like her parents and big brother and was sent a special doll from a family cousin. Vicki is now a toddler and has taken to playing with her doll (Victor) like Oliver took to playing with his at that age. We'll see if this relationship is maintained.

Silver took a trip to Egypt to get some scarab beetles for her employer. While there, she help some locals by doing assignments for the local government officials. For one of the jobs, Silver got to go into the Tomb of the Burning Sands for the flame fruit that was requested and was able to bring one home to her family. Nick is looking to plant it once he has enough gardening skills.

The big story is about Oliver and his wonderful prom night. Oliver had a wonderful birthday party for his teen birthday and had the joy of seeing his imaginary friend, Riley grow up, too. Although he enjoys chatting with Riley in his spare time, he preferring to stay within the real world by helping out with the care of his baby sister and chores around the house. He also has developed friendships with high school students Dedric Osorio and Olga Mulligan.

Now back to the prom, Oliver has had a crush on Olga and he impressed her by doing the chicken dance. As the night wore on, Oliver and Olga became romantically involved so he has decided to give Riley to his new brother or sister to play with as Silver is expecting. The next day, Oliver asked Olga out on a date and they went swimming and out to dinner. They didn't do much swimming, though as they were too busy falling in love and she agreed to go steady with him. (Yes, I finally got those options this time. Let's keep our fingers crossed for him to be able to propose marriage when they graduate) I did take a few pictures and will post them as soon as they are uploaded.

Nick is currently at a party hosted by one of his friends, while Silver is holding down the fort at home. They have recently put in a swimming pool in their backyard as well as a trampoline, see-saw, swing set, and a rocking airplane for the kids to play with. There's still room for the barn but that's a few generations away.

Silver just gave birth to two beautiful baby twin girls, Sylvia and Nicola. Their lives will be doubly busy now but with Nick, Silver and Oliver around I'm sure the new additions to the family will be spoiled rotten.   Nick loves having children around and wants to have another one once the twins are a little older.  So, he has changed his lifetime wish to raising five children to healthy, happy, and family orientated teenagers with lots of potential for their lives.

Before I know it I'll have to choose a legacy for my family when Nick and Silver have reached their lifetime goals or have passed on.  In my previous stories I have not broken up my families as I never wanted to kick anyone out but I think I'll start doing that as sometimes large families are hard to control.  For now, we shall see what happens between now and then.

Life After Twinbrook, by Carol Funke

This is Carol Funke to let you all know that I have moved into an apartment in Bridgeport. My family sends their best wishes. I'll miss them but it's time to start a life of my own.

I'm getting nicely settled in my apartment and Buster Round was one of the first to welcome me. He also stopped in to visit after my first day of work in the local municipal offices. We had a nice evening chatting and watching TV. It's too early to say if anything will happen but for now I want to become friends with him.

My passion is playing the guitar and will play it every chance I get. Had a nice little audience outside the local bookstore and also gained my first celebrity star by impressing Romeo Rake (who, by the way, is one of my guide's (Silver's) favorite Bridgeport Sims). Time gets away from me when playing my guitar and I played until 2:00 in the morning and then grabbed a bite to eat at the local diner and then went home to bed.

The first few weeks in Bridgeport have been really exciting while settling into my new home.  I've had two promotions at work, attended two parties, threw an epic party at my apartment, and gained another celebrity star. Harry Marks invited me to my very first party last week and I had lots of fun meeting his roommates and jamming with the guests. I threw a party on the weekend and everyone had a good time as I entertained them with my piano. The guests were so engrossed in my piano playing that half of them were blocking the doorway as others were trying to get in. It was funny watching them stomp their feet waiting to get in. Maybe they should try to say the magic words 'excuse me, please'. I must be a guy magnet or something as all of my guests were guys except for one girl, Kirby Wise. Am hoping that one of those 'guys' turns out to be my one true love.

My boss, Jeffrey Cook stopped in to visit one evening and we have since become good friends, which helps on the promotion side at work. Johnny Cook, Alexy Fresco, Richie Striker, and others are also friends. I've completed the first charisma challenge in meeting 25 celebrities. The local diner had me fix their clogged toilet that some idiot had flushed potato peelings down. Did you ever hear of anything so stupid, hoped the guy learned his lesson. Am getting ready for bed now after I learn a new recipe.

Oh, Silver wanted me to tell you a little story about Alexy. Long time ago, she created a Sim named Genna Evelyn, who is one of her close friends in real life. Genna lived in Bridgeport as well and shorty after moving in her apartment she met Alexy. He stopped in to visit with her several times and fell in love with her. Alexy then invited Genna to move in with him and she said 'yes'. Shortly after moving in together, Alexy and Genna were married and had a son named Alexander. Roommates Harry Marks and Polly Maloney also got married and had a child. Matilda Smart also lived with us and sort of became our babysitter as the children loved her. Alexy, Harry, Polly, and Matilda all got new clothing which Polly was thrilled about as she was tired of wearing that old coat. Genna also gave Alexy a haircut and he looked even more handsome before. Alexy and Genna's story ended happily ever after.

This is Silver filling in for Carol, who had busy night throwing her first campaign fundraiser for her City Council position. It was a very successful with over $41,000 Sim dollars raised in donations. The Grim Reaper almost crashed the party in taking Fangmann but decided to be nice for once and let him live because her guest were all having a good time. Carol is quite the social butterfly and gets invited to a lot of parties and to do promotions for the local bars. She also makes friends easily as she hasn't met anyone yet who didn't like her and as a result now has her third celebrity star.

Bridgeport citizens all voted for me to be mayor of the town for which I am very honored and will do my best to serve the town faithfully to the best of my ability.  To all my friends, I'm still just Carol who loves hanging out with and making new friends and playing music in my spare time. I've really taken to playing the bass and have reached level five. Started a band with Kirby Wise but we haven't performed together yet.

Just celebrated my birthday a few days ago had threw a party for my friends, I mean what's a birthday without friends to celebrate with. I all tried to have a fundraising party for my campaign but nobody showed up. Oh well, guess I picked a bad night as Jeffrey Cook was throwing a party, too that night. He had invited me, so instead of moping at home and went to his and had a great time. Katrina Pala invited me to her party the next night where I jammed with two of her guests.

As you can tell by opening statement, my career is going well and have been promoted to Mayor of Bridgeport. I leave my mayor title at home as I don't want to become snobby before my friends. Recently got myself a bicycle to get around town on but most of the time I get to travel in nice limo to get around.

It doesn't happen very often but I've had a few embarrassing moments. Once when I was on an outing with Johnny Jones as we had become best friends at home, I learned the hard way to ask a guy if he's single first and then his sign. Johnny's sign turned out to be compatible with mine but then got ahead of myself and tried to hold hands with him. That's when he informed me that he had a partner, Diana. How embarrassing, the good friend that he is, Johnny didn't let my mistake bother him as he values our friendship. Sometimes it's hard to be patient in the romance department as I haven't found my true love, yet, although Matty Crewe is a possibility. They say patience is a virtue and hopefully by following that rule the right man will come along and sweep me off my feet.

My celebrity agent has had me promote a couple of the bars in town. Just returned home from the Prosper Room where I sampled one of their drinks and performed on the piano for them. Embarrassed myself again when I invited Alexy to join me at there as my agent wants me to become friends with him. I didn't realize he couldn't get until it was too late and he left a little upset with me. He's OK now though as he called to apologize for leaving abruptly like that before I could join him in the hall.

A few weeks later I had Jeffrey Cook over for a visit with no idea that this would be the last time I would see him alive as while we were jamming together, the Grim Reaper decided to choose that moment to take him. I mourned for two days after that as even though Jeffrey was my boss, we were also really close friends. Caroline Custard stopped in for a visit that night and offered her condolences which were much appreciated. One thing you can count on living in Bridgeport is your circle of friends and acquaintances who always stop in to visit when you need them the most.

I've been asked to do many things for the town, like play with local musicians at various function. Was even asked to provide some romantic music for a local restaurant for their customers to enjoy. I enjoy being able to serve my fellow citizens in any way I can. Isn't that what being Vice-President all about? My new boss is Harry Marks who is also a good friend.

Nothing much happening in the romance department, although I do have a crush on Romeo Rake but then again who doesn't. He stops in once and awhile and we have fun jamming and dancing together. Tonight, I'm attending a party at Bianca Rubble's which should be a lot of fun.

I've finally made it to the top of my career and am now World Leader. To my friends and acquaintances I will always be Carol. Celebrated my senior birthday the other day by inviting friends over for a party.   Many thanks to all those in Bridgeport who made my promotion possible with their loyal support.

The next morning I went to visit with Romeo as he couldn't make it to my party. Guess what everybody, we shared our first kiss and had a wonderful date that evening. My heart's all aflutter and who would have thought I would find romance at this stage in my life. We'll see what happens from here.

My story editor, Silver stopped in to visit me this morning see if I wanted to marry Romeo and move to new city because there seems to be some sort of marrying bug in games with single Sims and she knows I have a romantic interest with Romeo.  I know she means well but I told her that I love living here in Bridgeport and have no intentions of moving. It would be nice to be married but at this stage of my life it's not that important. As long as I can serve my fellow citizens, I'm happy and have made too many cherished friendships to ever want to leave. Some people are destined to be single but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy our lives spending time with friends, and making music together. Romeo and I do have a romantic interest in each other and we will see where that leads, but he is well into his senior years and I'm a senior now, so we're both happy to just hang out together and have a nice date from time to time. Have also almost reached my lifetime goal with just two skill levels left to master in guitar and charisma as well, I'm not far off from mastering the piano, drums, and bass skills as music is my life.

Silver's visit was cut short when the time seem to stand still for awhile. Hope it's working on her next visit as I have several things I need to do.

Hope that you've enjoyed my story to date and remember to cherish the friendships you've made in life because true friends are always there for you when you need them most.  Keep the music playing!

After my birthday, things got a little weird in my apartment when both my piano and drum set became invisible somehow, so thinking some paranormal activity was going on I decided to look for another apartment.   First I looked at an apartment just across the street from the building where Barry Tenderlove lives.  Believe me it was certainly not worth the 11,000 Sim dollars the owners were asking for.  It's just a garage made over to be a bachelor pad.  The owners left the garage door and it's a lot smaller than my previous apartment and only half of my stuff would fit comfortably.  Even the truck that came with it was battered looking.   Fortunately I found a much better apartment on Canal Ave just next to the bridge which is much nicer and was easily upgraded to a one-bedroom with a good sized bathroom and even has a cute little laundry room.  I also had a new open concept living and kitchen area where I could arraign my furniture comfortably.   My musical instruments are kept in storage and I bring out which ever one I'm in the mood to play which gives the place a more spacious look.

Now on to some sad news.  I received a message that Romeo was getting old and wouldn't live forever, not that I expected him to as death is a part of life.  The next day I tried several times to visit him but always just missed him as he went to work.  Guess he must have joined the army as he was wearing an army outfit when he was leaving his apartment as I arrived.   Unfortunately that was to the last time seeing him alive as I got the news that he had passed away.  We had only been in a romantic relationship for two days but still my heart is broken as I loved him with all my heart but I will treasure the good times we had together these last few weeks  especially the dances we shared and our first kiss.   Tom Wordy called later that evening and offered his condolences which were greatly appreciated.  It's nice to have friends who care about you in times of difficulty and helps the healing process to begin.

Now for a Short Tribute to Romeo Rake.

Romeo Rake was one of Bridgeport's most beloved citizens always making a difference where ever he went.  Before we became friends, Romeo had heard about music talents and challenged me to earn $50 in tips by playing my instruments in public which I accomplished.  Romeo was very impressed when he found out that I had earned over $65 in tips playing both my guitar and drums.  We then danced together at Waylon's Haunt, where I reported that the challenge was completed and our relationship just grew from there.  He started stopping in for a visit in the evenings and we would dance, chat, and jam together.  One day, I went to visit him and while we were sitting on the couch, Romeo kissed me and the rest is history. He will be mourned by his many friends and those he came in contact with through his job and by assisting those how needed help doing odd jobs or lending a listening ear when someone needed to chat.

In closing I just have this to say  "May you rest in peace, Romeo and thank you for bringing a little romance into my life and I will never forget you".  Life will never be the same without you.

Love,
Carol
