Surgeons of Hope, The Day Family: Generation Two

Prologue:

Hi, my name is Victor Day and along with my lovely new wife, Cara, we are pleased to welcome you to the unofficial start of the second generation of the Day family. Dad and Mom are still alive and well. Both retired just after our wedding celebrations were over but that only lasted for one day for Johanna (Mom) as she wanted to do what she does best and take care of her patients. Unfortunately the medical positions were filled in the hospital back in Riverview but as soon as the administrator of the health care center in Twinbrook heard that Johanna was looking to return to work they offered her a resident position which she gladly accepted. So after hiring a moving company to move all of our belongings including our house we moved to Twinbrook and found a lovely lot for our home on Puddlewick Drive, just past the bridge.

Dad is still enjoying his retirement but don't be surprise if he decides to go back to work until the Grim Reaper comes a calling. Personally I think Dad and Mom want to stick around to see some grandchildren born so I guess Cara and I will just have to get busy on that one. Cara plans to keep working at the book store for now as she wants to be able to be home during the day to take care of our future little ones.

Now, I know you're all anxiously awaiting the details of our wedding. After a wonderful bachelor party last Saturday complete with dancing girls and getting drenched with nectar fizz, Cara and I were married at the lovely little wedding chapel in Riverview with all of our friends in attendance. Our wedding pictures will give you all the details.

Carter was able to attend our wedding as well before leaving to fulfill his duties as a personal caregiver to a dear friend of ours, Amari, who is expecting twins and needed extra care to ensue that the babies arrived safely into this world. Amari and Carter had met on an online chat and became good friends and Carter had found out that she was going through a very stressful time in her live with demands coming at her from every which way and she was being forced by someone to bear several babies in her lifetime. Since Carter is the only friend she has to confide in, he felt it necessary to be close to her as her friend and doctor. Cara and I, along with Oliver and Johanna send our best wishes to Amari and pray that everything will work out for her.

Chapter One: Life in Twinbrook and Second Chances Life has settled into a nice routine here in Twinbrook although not without the ups and downs of being celebrities. Sometimes the paparazzi make me so made when they stick their big noses into where they don't belong and then spread lies about us throughout the town. After our wedding night, like any newlyweds Cara and I did the romantic stuff that couples do in private to try and have a baby and then I was accused of making out with a 'cult'. How dare the paparazzi accuse my lovely wife, Cara of being a cult. Oh well, that's the life of a celebrity being the center of false accusations, rumors and all that really matters is the love that Cara and I have for each other. For the record, Cara did get pregnant right away and we just welcomed our first child into the world, a healthy, happy little girl whom we named Tara. Tara just celebrated her toddler birthday and is Daddy's precious little black haired daughter. Tara's uncle Carter sent her a doll but our mailbox seems to be haunted or something as we haven't been able to get our mail. That's OK though as we would rather Tara grow up developing friendships with her classmates in school and she's happy just playing with her toys. Cara and I are looking forward to having more children and can't wait to see how they grow up and what their career choices will be and hopefully one of them will want to be a surgeon like me to carry on our legacy. A few days after we settled into Twinbrook we almost lost Mom as the Grim Reaper came for her one night after speaking to our town leaders about an equipment shortage at the hospital. Fortunately, Johanna had a death flower in her inventory to offer Mr Grim, he was so happy that he not only let her live but allowed her to start her senior life all over again. When Dad found out that Mom didn't die, he decided to go back to work as well for he also had a death flower in his inventory which came in handy earlier today when Mr Grim came a calling for him, so now he gets to grow old again with Johanna. Dad and Mom are thinking of getting their own place sometime but want to stick around for more grandchildren. Work is going well and I've just been promoted to intern and have had the opportunity to host a couple of vaccination clinics. Dad and Mom are well on their way or regaining the title of World Renown Surgeon as they both had to start back at resident status when they returned to work but are now both Gene Therapists. Cara is still working at the bookstore so she can be home with Tara in the mornings and Dad and Mom get home shortly after two in the afternoon, so we haven't had to call a babysitter, yet. Well that's all the news for now and please join the Day family in their new home in Twinbrook as Cara and I seek to honor our parents in the second generation of "Surgeons of Hope".

Take care,

Victor Day

A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes: Generation One

Introduction

Hi, my name is Cheryl Malifa (nee Steel) and like my parents, Marcus and I were forced to leave Barnacle Bay with our family when a hurricane destroyed much of the town.  We had been thinking of moving anyway as Marcus had been offered a job transfer to the science lab in Bridgeport.  Our son, Lucas has not been doing that well in school, so we are hoping  that he'll focus more on his studies at his new school and less on play so that his grades improve.

We purchased some land across from Lucas's school on Backdrop parkway where we rebuilt our house. Fortunately we were one of the few families who were able to salvage all our belongings from the devestating hurricane.   My younger brother, Ishmael and his wife Consuelo have also moved to Bridgeport as Ishmael was also offered the same job transfer as Marcus.  They found a lot for their house located in the hills on the other side of the Bridgeport Bridge.  Unfortunately our birth records were lost when the Barnacle Bay town offices were flooded during the storm, so to the public Ishmael and Consuelo will appear to be close friends of ours but in my heart Ishmael will always be my baby brother and of course his wife is still my sister-in-law.

The move seems to be working as Lucas is more diligent at doing his homework, now.  Marcus and I have also been able to teach Linus how to walk and talk.  Linus loves playing with his special doll that his grandparents gave him when he was born.  We plan to expand our family in the near future so stay tuned for further little bundles of joy in our household.

Marcus and I have discussed with each other about what kind of legacy we would like to have our heir carry on into the generations to come.  While my grandparents' (Christopher and Jan Steel) faithfulness and my parents' music  will continue to passed on in our family, we have decided that we want each of our children to realize and achieve their lifetime goals and dreams while teach good moral values to their families and being upright citizens in their respective communities and to never look down on others no matter what their social standing is and to help others in need.

This has been a brief introduction to the Malifa family legacy and I am thrilled to be able to write our story and  be a part of a triple legacy: first generation Malifa, second generation to my parents' music legacy and third generation to the founding Steel legacy of faithfulness.   It's quite a lot for Marcus and I to live up to but with hard work, devotion, and love the Malifa family is up for the challenge.

Chapter One:  Family Life

A few weeks after we got settled in Bridgeport,  my brother Ishmael and his wife, Consuelo moved back to Barnacle Bay after she was offered a journalist position there.  Just before they left, Ishmael and Consuelo adopted a baby boy, Paulo who is now the cutest toddler that you ever did see.  Marcus and I wish them all the best.

My sister Carrie, sad to say, is no longer with the family as one day she just vanished without a trace and no one knows what happened to her.  Iris has also moved to town in the next state that is also called Bridgeport with her two friends Scotty and Jane who were Ian and Iris's imaginary friends that they were able to make real.  Scotty and Jane have recently gotten married and have just had a baby girl, Alexandra.  Marcus and I are still hoping that Iris meets her special someone someday and is able to have her own family.

Our move to Bridgeport has turned out to be a blessing in disguise as Lucas is finally doing well in school and has made the honor roll.  Marcus and I looking forward to seeing what he decides to do with his life as he will be the heir in our family to carry on the Steel and Malifa legacies.  Linus is now in school and already wants to be a world renown surgeon someday.   Please join Marcus and I as we happily welcomed our third little boy into the world, Curtis who was born happy, healthy,  friendly and with a love for the outdoors which gives him a good appetite.  It's kind of interesting that Marcus and I now have three boys and my brother, Ian and his wife Autumn now have three girls.  Maybe Ishmael and Consuelo will have both.

Marcus and I are quickly making new friends in Bridgeport and get invited to various social events around the city.  Ace Wilde, Mick Situp, and Armstrong Diesel are all co-workers of Marcus and they have become good friends.  My fishing career is starting to take off and I've caught many different kinds of fish including piranha, blowfish, catfish, and jellyfish.   Lucas also has a part-time job at the local spa to help him gain work experience and earn extra money.

That's all for now and to all of our friends may all your dreams in life come true.

Your friends,
Cheryl and Marcus Malifa

A Double Legacy of Kindness by Patricia Steel

Chapter One:  New Town,  New Beginnings

Hi, my name is Patricia Steel and I'm Ryder's youngest sister from the famous Steel family who now are living in the lovely town of Twinbrook.  Upon graduation from high school, I was offered a position at the science lab in the small town of Hidden Springs.  It is a beautiful place with lots of little parks and fishing holes for those who love the outdoors.  The town also has a wonderful spa and some clubs where you go to meet the towns people.  I was able to find a moving company that was able to move the house I had purchased in Twinbrook and with the help of my real estate agent found a beautiful little piece of land on a little side street called Bristlecone Way and the movers expertly put my house on the lot.  There is also a beautiful little park next to my property.

Shortly after I moved in, Ryder called me to see if I'd be willing to take in a couple of house guests.  Ryder's pen pal from high school, Michael Cal, had written him to see if he knew of any place in Hidden Springs where is brother, Miguel could stay while going to school there as he had been offered a scholarship at the local college.  Beth, who was Misty's imaginary friend and had been made real, had also accepted a position at the local journalism office.  I readily agreed for any friend of Ryder's is a friend of mine and I also wanted to show kindness to them and make Miguel and Beth feel right at home.  Of course I had to do a little renovating to add two more bedrooms but I didn't mind as I couldn't have them sleep on the floor.   We've all become fast friends and I like Miguel a lot but will take our relationship slow as he is still in high school and there is quite an age difference but that doesn't matter when it comes to true love.  Beth is a sweet girl and I hope she can find her soul mate here in Hidden Springs as well.

In thinking about what kind of legacy I would like to leave behind, I think one of kindness would be important.   It is my belief that no matter what a person's social standing is, whether famous or not, one should always show kindness to their fellow humans and being famous does not give a person the right to snub or look down at others just because they are not in the same class as you.  I know of celebrities who unless you can impress them they will have nothing to do with you and I refuse to be that type of celebrity and hopefully will teach my future children to treat others with kindness and respect and to use our good fortune to help others who are in need.

Both Miguel and Beth have settled in well to life in Hidden Springs.  It didn't take long for Miguel to impress his new teachers and get on the honor roll like he was back in Twinbrook.   He keeps in contact with his family back home and was thrilled when Michael sent him an email announcing the arrival of his new niece,  Ruby.  Since he couldn't get away to see her in person, Miguel sent her a special doll that she can play with and maybe someday make real.   Miguel is also happy that his sister, Mitzi found her true love and is now married as you know to Zachery Jones-Brown.  We all send the happy couple our best wishes.

Miguel has some exciting news that he would like to share.   While he was away in France doing an assignment for school, Miguel was doing some exploring in the local museum's basement and found a beautiful rainbow gem.  He was so excited about his discovery that Miguel couldn't wait to get home to take it to the science lab.    After purchasing the special potion, Miguel gave the potion to his imaginary friend, Luis the next morning and poof,  Luis became a handsome young teen with dark red hair who has swept Beth off her feet but they have to wait until he graduates to make their relationship public.    Beth is now off on her first trip to China to see what treasures she can find there.

Chapter Two:  Move to Barnacle Bay

How do you like that,  we  were just getting settled into life here in Hidden Springs and Beth and I both got job transfers to Barnacle Bay.  After packing up everything and hiring a moving van, Miguel, Luis, Beth and I made the long trip to our new home.  We purchased a large cliff side lot overlooking the Bay and rebuilt our house and spent Sunday getting settled in and checking out the town.

Both Miguel and Luis have now graduated from high school.  Luis was voted most popular in school which is pretty good for only being in school one day.  Miguel's classmates believed that he was the most likely one to save the world.  Well I guess he can help me try to keep the mad scientists off the streets in his new science career.   Luis has enrolled in the town's medical school in the hospital and will hopefully become world renown surgeon someday although his main wish is to become rich and famous.  He also plans to write novels on the side for some extra money.

Chapter Two:  Weddings

As you know, Silver already spilled the beans on my engagement to Miguel.  One evening shortly after my last update, Miguel took me to the basement of the garage after the others had gone to bed.  We chatted for awhile and then out of the blue, Miguel got down on his knee and pulled out a little black velvet box that contained the most beautiful diamond I had ever seen.  He confessed his love for me and asked me to marry him and of course I threw my arms around him and said 'YES'.

Luis and Beth also have exciting news to share.  After some coaxing from Miguel, Luis finally confessed his love to Beth and they are also now engaged to be married.   Because we are such close friends, the four of us plan to have a double wedding at the new wedding chapel located in the new hot spot in town,  "A Taste of Italy" and invite our friends from work.

A couple of days later we decided to have our double wedding at the new wedding venue at the new "Taste of Italy" tourist attraction in town and invited all of our friends.  Guess we should have checked it out first because the contractor for the venue did a poor job of building the place as the back entrance was blocked by a hill and the front had a drop off to the walkway that inaccessible, so neither our or ourselves were able to get into the chapel.  Our guests all left, but Luis and Beth along with Miguel and I decided to get get married in front of the venue at the edge of the fish moat that bordered the attraction with the little fishes as our witnesses.  The weddings turned out alright and both couples are now happily married.  We all went back to the house for a private cake cutting ceremony and after we each had a piece of cake it was time for bed.

Miguel and I have some wonderful news to share with all of our friends and that is we are expecting our first child.  There's no baby news yet from Luis and Beth but I'm sure that will change before long.  Miguel, Luis and Beth all go back to work in the morning while I'm on maternity leave.  In preparation for our new arrival, Miguel and I have already decorated the nursery and purchased a crib, toy box, and block set.  We plan to add a high chair and potty when our child becomes a toddler.
Chapter Three: Starting Over A few days after our weddings, Luis, Beth, Miguel and I decided to take some time off work and travel around the world for an extended honeymoon. We visited places like the Eiffel Tower in France, the Great Wall of China, and the Sahara Desert where we got to ride camels which was a lot of fun. Unfortunately the desert heat was too much for me one day and I suffered a miscarriage and lost my baby but fortunately the doctors were able to save my life and with lots of medical care and love from my husband and friends I made a full recovery. They say that bad news comes in bunches as when we returned home to Barnacle Bay, we found that our house had been destroyed by a tornado and that Miguel's sister-in-law had passed away in Hidden Springs and that shortly after my niece, Ruby was married to Dany Shue, their house caught fire one night and unfortunately there were no survivors. So that leaves Miguel and I to carry on the Cal legacy along with our close friends Luis and Beth who had grown up with the family and are helping us through this difficult time. The town of Hidden Springs was very supportive of us during this difficult time and with the help of Shue family we were able to have a memorial service for Michael, Jasper, Ruby and Dany at the little park across the street. Nearly the whole town was in attendance to show their support for which Miguel and I were very thankful. On behalf of Miguel, Beth and Luis we would like to express our appreciation for the love and kindness shown to us by the citizens of Hidden Springs which is a testament of the love they had for our family. After the memorial service, we moved to Riverview where Beth had accepted a new position with the local journalism office there. I was able to get a position at the Riverview science lab. Unfortunately, we also found out that our marriage certificates and Miguel and Luis's high school diplomas had gotten destroyed when a small fire had broken out in the records room of the City Hall in Barnacle Bay. This means that Miguel and I along with Luis and Beth have to renew our marriage licenses and get remarried. Luis and Miguel also have to go back to school for a day so that they can be reissued their diplomas. I think that we'll just have a quiet wedding ceremony at the house when Beth and I remarry our true loves as we all want to start our families as soon as possible. Well we are just getting settled into our new lives in Riverview. Our insurance paid to have our house and furnishings all replaced and we found a nice riverside lot located on Ely Road just past the small trailer park on which to build our house. Miguel and Luis will be getting their replacement diplomas tomorrow at the graduation ceremony at the Town Hall. Please join Luis, Beth, Miguel and I as we begin our new lives in Riverview as we carry on the Cal family legacy of a Stable Home in part two of the second generation while maintaining the faithful legacy that my parents, Keiler and Alicia Steel passed on to me. Guess that covers the news update for now and may you all have a great night!

Take care,

Patricia, Miguel, Luis, and Beth

Athletes in Action Legacy: Generation 1

Introduction

Hi, my name is April Lace and I've just moved to Bridgeport to start my athletic career as the soccer team offered me a scholarship to their school of athletics.  I started out as a rabid fan and have already been promoted to snack hawker and get to serve healthy snacks to both the team members and loyal fans to come to cheer on the team at their games.

After speaking with a local real estate representative, I found an apartment with a nice pool to swim in located at 73 Embarcadero Drive.  Once the apartment was renovated to a one-bedroom,  I moved my things in and settled into my new life.  Some neighbors came to welcome me,  William Fangman and Wayne Bumble who were quite rude at first and Harry Marks.  Harry was much friendlier then the other two and came back to visit the next night.  Hopefully someday I'll meet my soulmate in this town so that I can start a family to carry on my athletic dream of being a superstar athlete.  The main focus of this legacy is to raise children that are athletic and maintain a healthy lifestyle in no matter what career they choose and who will pass the importance of exercise on to their families.

Please join me as I continue my quest to become a Supertar Athlete and help bring the Bridgeport Llamas to victory in the playoffs.

Take care and stay active,

April

"The Legacy of a Stable Home Life" Generation Two

Prologue

The wonderful legacy of Mick and Mindy Cal has now been past onto me, Michael to carry on their story and to raise our children with the same values that my parents taught their children.  It is with sorrow and happiness that I write this introduction to the second generation.

Dad sends his regards to all of Mindy's friends who have followed their story but is now mourning the loss of his dear wife, Mindy who passed away two days ago and leaves the rest of her family to mourn as well.  Mom was always there for us children and would stop whatever she was doing to comfort us when we crying, help us with homework and to simply chat and encourage us to improve our skills.  Dad is the same way and  Emerald and I will strive to maintain the eternally faithful reputation that my parents achieved during their many years as husband and wife.  With lots of love for each other, Emerald and I should be able to achieve this as we have already received the 'faithful' distinction among our family and friends.   Emerald is also mourning the death of her mother Holly but is thankful that she had invited her over for the afternoon and was able to have a nice visit with her mom.  Apparently, Holly passed away of a heart attack just after she returned home from her outing.

Now for the good news,  Emerald and I welcomed our first child into the world, a son, whom we named Jasper in keeping with jewel names of the Greenwoods.  He was born with the friendly and athletic traits.   Grampie Mick just loves his little grandson to death and is always seeing to his needs before either Emerald and I can get there.  We don't mind though because Emerald and  I both know that Dad's days with us are numbered, so we want him to have as much time with Jasper as possible.

In other family news,  Miguel gave me a rainbow gem that he found in France and I was able to send it to the science lab to make the special formula for making imaginary friends real.  It costs a lot of money to do this but it was worth making my friend, Mickey a real human.  Even though Mickey can be a little inappropriate at times he has become best friends with the whole family.  He and my sister, Misty fell in love with each other almost at first sight and are now engaged to be married.  After they are married they'll move into a house of their own and Misty has another rainbow gem that she has sent to the science lab and plans to make her imaginary friend, Beth real when the move out.    Mitzi has also entered into an exclusive romantic relationship with Marcos Hunter and will probably soon be engaged as well.  Miguel is the only one left in school and he is on his way to be graduating with top marks in his class.   Mickey has joined the fashion consultant profession and Misty plans to be a scientist.

Chapter One:  Eventful Times in the Cal Household

A few days after Mom passed away, the Grim Reaper came to collect Dad as well.  It was a sad time when he passed away but Emerald and I are comforted by the fact that my father lived longed enough to enjoy some quality time with his grandson, Jasper.  Dad loved to hold Jasper any chance he got.  We'll miss you, Dad and thank you for being such a great father to your children.  Emerald and I will pass the values you taught us onto our children and grandchildren.  Due to our upbringing, I already have the 'eternally faithful' reputation among our family and friends.

Shortly after being made a human, Mickey had his last name legally changed to Calvin.  He is doing quite well as a stylist and has had a lot of referrals sent to him.  Of course, there are always those that say they they like a particular outfit at first but then decide when the makeover is done that they hate it.  I encourage Mickey to keep at it though as there are just some people that you can never please no matter what you do for them.

The biggest news is that Mickey and Misty are now happily married.  Their dating period was not without it's struggles, but then what relationship isn't.  Apparently Misty had gotten into a romantic relationship with Zachery Jones-Brown at her prom but never really pursued each other after graduation, so when she became engaged to Mickey the townsfolk dubbed her as being naughty but Mickey is a great guy who overlooked all of the gossip surrounding Misty and just loves her for who she is.   In Misty's defense, she did try several times to meet with Zachery to break off the romantic part of their relationship and just be friends, well acquaintances as their friendship had dwindled that much but of course the rest of the town didn't realize that.   Finally just before the wedding, Misty went to visit Zachery and asked to be just friends, to which he agreed and he seems to respect Misty a lot more for being honest with him.  I think my sister's naughty reputation could have been avoided though if they had broken things off sooner.  A very important lesson that  has been learned is that not all high school crushes work out and it is not always wise to fall for the first person that says they like you.

A few days after the wedding, Mickey and Misty have purchased and moved into a new home located at 178 Savannah Lane which is just a block over from the family homestead.  Emerald and I are very happy for them and look forward to visiting them and hopefully we'll have new nieces or nephews to love.  Since Dad and Mom aren't here to spoil them, we will be happy to take on the roll of the aunt and uncle who love to spoil their little nieces and nephews and we also want our children to have lots of fun playing with their cousins.

Miguel has received a scholarship to finish his studies at a new college in Hidden Springs which is a new town on the other side of SimWorld.   My friend, Ryder Steel's sister has just moved there to join their science lab and has agreed to let Miguel stay with her.  They have been communicating by email for a few days now and have already developed a close friendship so don't be surprised if they get married once he finishes his studies.

Beth is settling well in her new life here with us and has gotten a job in the local journalism office as she wants to be a star news anchor someday.  She is a sweet girl and Emerald and I are sure that she will succeed in whatever she does.  Who knows maybe she'll even find her true love someday.

As you already know from Patricia Steel that Miguel has arrived safely with Beth.  The airlines wouldn't let Miguel travel alone as a minor so Beth decided to take a job offer at the journalism office in Hidden Springs and travel with him.  They are both settling well into Patricia's house and have become fast friends and Miguel has been able to quickly regain his honor status in his new school.
Well, I guess that's all the news for now and hope that everyone has a wonderful day.

Mickey and Misty have settled well into their new home although the rest of the town thinks their a little weird.  Who would have thought that prejudice was rampid in our little town of Twinbrook but it  is.  Apparently Misty got accused of woohooing with a 'cult' after she and Mickey tried for a baby the first time.   After a couple of tries to have a baby naturally,  they decided to adopt a newborn baby girl by the name of Christy, whose real mother was just a teenager herself and could not afford to keep her baby and wanted her to be raised in a loving home and put her up for adoption when she was born.  Emerald and I have both been to see our little niece and she is just precious.

Our son, Jasper has aged up into a child and is ready to start school on Monday.  He has developed the snob trait which Emerald and I hope to change as he grows up.   I would like to take this opportunity to announce that we are expecting are second child and are hoping for a sister for Jasper.

The biggest news in the family is that Mitzi has just gotten engaged to Zachery Jones-Brown who was a close friend from high school.  They became romantically involved one evening when Zachery asked her out on a date and confessed his feelings for her.  This happened while Mickey and Misty were getting settled in their new home.   We plan to have the wedding ceremony on Sunday before everyone goes back to work.  Emerald and I fixed up a room for them above the garage where they will live with their children when they come.  We will all share our meals in the main house though.

Chapter Two:  Life at Best is Very Brief

As you know, Zachery and Mitzi had a private family in the backyard of our home and were able to spend a few short days in each others love.  A few days after the birth of our daughter, Ruby, Mitzi went to France to try to find a rainbow gem to make her imaginary friend real.  She wrote to us while she was away and said that she was having a good time making new friends and going various adventures for the locals.  She was asked by a local who was researching  the Landgraab history to retrieve some special papers from the mansion to prove that a local young woman was murdered there.  After surviving five electrocutions from traps at the mansion, she finally found and delivered the papers.    The rest of jobs were minor which included asking someone to go on a date with Jeannine Lambert and helping another local plan a big dinner.  She also caught some more perfect fish for her aquarium.

Now for the tragic news,  Edith Morel, the lady for whom Mitzi was asked to get her dinner ingredients, also asked to catch two crocodiles for which she would have to travel to Egypt for.  Mitzi decided to come home and let her husband travel to Egypt as Zachery wants to max travel visa for all three countries.   We received word, however, that her plane tragically crashed into the ocean on the return flight home and their were no survivors.  Please keep Zachery in your thoughts as he mourns the lost of his dear wife.  He is thankful and will always cherish the love and their short time together.  The rest of us miss her as well but understandably Zachery is taking his loss quite hard.  They had wanted to start a family together, so after the morning period is over my brother-in-law plans to adopt a child and make sure that he or she grows up knowing about their mother who was taken away so suddenly.

Chapter Three:  Making New Memories in a New Town

As you know, Zachery moved to Riverview shortly after Mitzi's death to start a new life for himself and start his world travel dream.  Our close friend, Felicia went to be with Zachery during his period of grief and transferred her military career to the military base in Riverview.  At last report, they have become close friends and have settled in nicely.

Emerald and I also moved our family to Sunset Valley as Emerald was offered a job transfer in the local government of the town.   After moving our house to a lot across from the Bunch family homestead, we decided to purchase another home that Emerald fell in love upon our arrival in Sunset Valley.  The house is located at  442 Skyborough Blvd and after remodeling the upstairs to accommodate the needs of our family, we moved in.  We also built workshop with a cellar for making nectar and for housing Mitzi's fish as we have decided to carry on with her dream of opening an aquarium in her honor and memory.  There's not as much yard space as our other house but it has just enough room for my garden, the hot tub and our tree house.

Our son, Jasper is now a teenager and because we couldn't transfer his grades from Twinbrook, he aged up with a daredevil trait.  Fortunately he is slowly outgrowing his snob trait and is becoming kinder towards others as he realizes that time is too short to look down at other people and that he is now the new kid in town.  Our daughter, Ruby, will soon be starting school and Emerald wants to have one more child be reaching her senior years.  It's hard to believe that I will become a senior in a couple of days and Emerald will be not far behind.  Where does the time go?  Just seems like yesterday that Emerald and I were married after graduating from high school.

Chapter Four:  Another New Home in Hidden Springs

Emerald was really not happy with the house we bought in Sunset Valley as she found it two big and impersonal.  One day while she was looking at the real estate listings online, Emerald fell in love with a country home in a new town called Hidden Valley that also boasted of a beautiful in-law suite.  After talking to her boss in the government offices, Emerald was able to get a job transfer to the Hidden Springs political offices.  Since I still work at the mausoleum, it was no problem for me to transfer my job to the graveyard in Hidden Springs as they were short staffed there.

We then sold our home with all of our furniture and moved to 12 Hidden Brook Drive and bought all new furniture, two cars and decorated the house according to our needs.  I even put in a spiral staircase in the main house in case we add an upstairs someday.  The smaller in-law suite had a bedroom, kitchen/living area, and a bathroom but we took out the the kitchen and made that area a family room. Now that we are settled and Emerald and Jasper have both had their first day at school and work.  Emerald and I timed our move to coincide with Jasper's first day of high school so that he wouldn't be behind in any of his classes.  Ruby will be starting school in a couple of days.

Believe it or not, today is my birthday and I'm going to be entering the dreaded senior years.  It just seems like yesterday that Emerald and I were married and starting our family and it's now almost time to choose which of our children we want to carry the Cal legacy into the third generation.  We will wait until Ruby is in high school before we make that decision.   Jasper wants to be a scientist like his grandfather when he grows up and we'll have to wait and see what Ruby decides to do.

Chapter Four: The Ups and Downs of Life

Emerald and I a pleased to announce that Jasper has graduated from high school with honors and was voted valedictorian of his class. Jasper is now employed at the the local science lab and has already been promoted to level two lab tech. Ruby has just attended her prom and had lots of fun even though she got into a few fights with someone who dumped punch on her and another who made fun of her. Her evening wasn't a total loss though as she became romantically involved with her classmate, Dany Shue.

Right after her prom was over, Ruby left on a trip to France to interview a local for her class project. While there, she was asked by the local Special Merchant to find some special papers at the Landgraab mansion that prove that a young girl had been murdered there. Ruby managed to find the papers and only stepped in one electrical trap in the process and Emerald and I are happy to say that our daughter has made it home safely. Before returning home, Ruby was able to find a rainbow gem and visit the nectary and purchased some nectar making equipment.

Home life hasn't been a perfect bed of roses since my last update. Not too long after we moved to Hidden Springs, Emerald and I were able to regain our faithful status but thanks to the paparazzi blowing one my actions out of proportion and accusing me of cheating on Emerald my faithful reputation was replaced with 'cheating'. I'm not sure what I said or did that would make people think that. The only thing I can think of is that I became quick friends with a co-worker of Emerald's while chatting with her after Jasper's graduation and might have asked a question that seemed flirty which is not the impression I meant to make. Nevertheless, I spent the next two days reassuring Emerald that she is my only true love and that I would never intentionally hurt her. Emerald was understandably upset but by the next morning had forgiven me and actually our relationship is much closer now as we both know to be careful of the topics we talk about when chatting with others and make sure that anything that is considered romantic stays between the two of us.

With both Emerald and I now well into our senior years the time has come to choose our heir for the next generation. We would love to have both of our children take over the homestead but we know that is not possible, so since Ruby is the one that shows the most promise of getting married after high school , Emerald and I have chosen her to be heir. Jasper is happy for his sister and knows that he is always welcome to visit and will continue to live at home until he finds his own place or his true love comes along.

Well that's all the news for now and I hope that everyone is having a wonderful day.

Take care,

Michael Cal

Charity Hardy's Mystery Stories

Welcome friends, the world of mysteries awaits you.  This is Charity Hardy (nee Steel) who just moved from Bridgeport to Twinbrook to accept a position in the local government.  You'll never guess who I met on my flight to sign my employment papers.  It was none other than Frank Hardy who was also on his way to Twinbrook to start his own private investigator business after hearing of all the recent trouble in the town with banged up garden gnomes, car thieves and other underground crime.  Being a mystery writer myself, I grew up reading all about the exciting cases that Frank and his brother Joe had solved all around the world with help from Nancy Drew at times.

Frank and I chatted on the flight and one thing led to another and we fell in love just like that and instead of a long drawn out dating affair we decided to get married shortly after arriving in Twinbrook.  We purchased a funky house on Bayou Glutch Drive called Aerie Supply and added an upstairs and a garage with a family room and two more bedrooms for our growing family.  Yes, we are already expecting our first child and are so excited.   We plan to turn the bedroom next to ours into a nursery so we can keep a close eye on our young ones.

In addition to working for the local government, I play to write mystery stories on the side based on my husband's cases he solves locally and abroad.   Painting is another passion of mine and hope to someday master both my writing and painting skills.  Frank and I hope to pass our talents on to our children so that someday at least one of them will either want to write novels or solve the mysteries that elude our local law enforcement team.

Please join Frank and I as we work together to make our Sim World a safe place for our fellow Sims.  No case is to small or large for Frank to handle.  Bye the way,  Joe hopes to join his brother once he graduates from the police academy.  Having Joe in the local police department will hopefully stop the other local cops from giving them a hard time.

Frank just solved his first case for Sinbad Rotter who is a decoy in the criminal career, guess even criminals have cases that need to be solved.   Some cases may seem minor to some but to the client they are very important and as Frank says no case is too small or insignificant.  Sinbad apparently had this special garden gnome that someone was kicking.  He suspected his neighbor Phoenix Prudence of doing the dastardly deed and wanted Frank to snoop in Mr Prudence's garbage for clues.  After getting caught by Phoenix on the first try, Frank finally found some suspicious beat up sneakers in the suspect's garbage and after chatting with Phoenix for a while was able to get a confession.  Phoenix had some anger issues and was taking his frustrations out on the poor garden gnome.  Sinbad was pleased went Frank delivered the news but was soon back to his mean self and instead of thanking Frank for his trouble Sinbad yelled at him for no reason.  I guess there is no pleasing some people.

Now on to more pleasant things,  our first child Joe arrived into the world and is a healthy, bouncing little boy who is brave and perceptive like his father.  When he is old enough, we plan to decorate one of the bedrooms off the garage for his own little retreat, but like most children he will probably spent a lot of time playing in his tree house.

Well it's been a busy but wonderful day in the Hardy household.  Join me in the near future for Frank's next case which involves digging up some dirt on someone.

Happy sleuthing everyone,
Charity

A New Scientist in Town- A Wishacy Legacy

This is Vaunda Steel and I just moved to Sunset Valley from Bridgeport to take a job offer from the local science lab.  The people here are very welcoming and make you feel right at home.  Victoria Andrews, Bessie Clavell and Leighton Sekemoto all stopped by to meet me after settling into my new mini-home on Water Lily Lane and with the money my brother Keiler gave me to help me get started I was able to repaint my home and decorate.  Was able to purchase a good stove and fridge, new shower, and the necessary future for my living and  bedroom.

It was a bittersweet move in that I got the job offer shortly after my mother's funeral.  My father, Christopher Steel passed away suddenly on Keiler's wedding day.  Jan, my mother, used to be a forensic specialist in the local police department, here in Sunset Valley where she met and fell in love with Christopher and shortly after they were married Dad got a job offer from the 50s Diner in Bridgeport and moved there after my oldest twin sisters were married.  They had a wonderful marriage and were awarded the title of being 'eternally faithful' by their family and friends in Bridgeport.  Mom started her own daycare so she could be home to take care of us children as well as others whose parents worked everyday.  Dad would help out with the children whenever he was not at work and both of them treated each child as their own.  My brother, Keiler took over the family homestead and married a wonderful girl, Alicia and then I became an auntie.  Charity and Johanna got their own apartment in Bridgeport and my other brother Isaac moved to Twinbrook to work in the science lab there.  He met and fell in love with Carol Funke and they had a nice quiet wedding.   My twin sister, Grace, married her high school sweetheart, Tobias Duff and they now live in Sunset Valley as Grace was offered a position in the local police department.  Unfortunately I never get to see her as has started a legacy of her own.

Well, I'm just getting settled in my new job and so far my boss and co-workers are great to work with.  What will my life hold for me here in Sunset Valley?  Will I meet the man of my dreams  and have a family.  Only time will tell.

Have a great day!
Vaunda (aka Silver)

The Day Family's Legacy of Hope: Generation Two

Chapter One:  Oliver's Return to Riverview

My name is Oliver Day and have just returned to Riverview to start my medical career at the local hospital.  I was born here, actually to to wonderful parents, Nick and Silver Day.  If you wish to read about their lives just click on the link at the bottom of my story.  I had three sisters Vicki, Nicola, and Sylvia who are currently with my Dad on the tropical island where Mom passed away a few years in a tragic accident while vacationing there with my father.   Dad is slowly recovering from his loss and plans to eventually move to Old Town to start up the horse ranch that Mom always wanted in her memory.

Needless to say that moving back to Riverview has drained almost all of the allowance Dad gave me to help get me settled in my new life.   I was able to purchase a nice plot of land and found some scrap hardwood floor tiles at the local junk yard that was in good condition, built a little half bath with a toilet for now, and purchased a fridge, a small table with two chairs, a little radio, and a sleeping bag to start out with.  Will visit the local gym everyday for a shower until I can afford one of my own.  Someday I would love to have a family of my own to pass the values my parents taught to my children and hopefully a future generation will also have a horse farm in remembrance of their ancestors, my parents.

Have settled quite nicely into back into my hometown and have already begun making friends.  Shirley Lin is a fellow bed pan cleaner at the hospital and she has become my first friend.  Am starting to get to know my boss Marisol Lobos who has promised me a raise if I go to Egypt and bring back three scarab beetles for the science lab at the hospital which I plan to do as soon as funds permit.

To help save on grocery bills I planted a garden with grapes, lettuce and tomatoes and also planted some apple trees on my property.  After showering at the gym during my first week in town, I was finally able to afford a shower with a raise I received at work.  One thing about living with very little money you learn to appreciate having the basic things in life like a roof over your head, a toilet and shower and of course food.   Living on needs and not wants helps you to budget edge step of your life.

My parents always taught me to help others out who are in need, so when the son of my mother's dear friend Jan (Keiler) called to tell me that his sister, Johanna had just accepted a position in the local hospital as a bed pan cleaner and needed a place to live.  I graciously agreed to let her stay with me on my property and Johanna arrived the next day.   Keiler had given Johanna her portion of the inheritance money that Chris and Jan left each of their children to help them start new lives of their own.  In appreciation of letting her live with me, Johanna used hers to build us a comfortable starter home to live in and some necessary furniture, appliances, and light fixtures.   We are just getting to know each other but already I can see that Johanna is a special girl who loves the outdoors just as much as I do.  It's great to have someone to work out with as it is a great motivator for staying in shape.   Yes, I already have a crush on her and hope that someday we can be more than just friends.

Chapter Two:  Establishing a Happy Life in the Midst of Tragedy

First, here is a little update on the rest of my family.  Dad has  decided to live out his days on the island where Silver passed away so suddenly so that he can be laid to rest next to his wife and his twin girls when his days on earth are over.  My sister, Vicki has also returned to Riverview but I won't get to see her that much as she has been invited to join the Zeus boarding school that is run by another Simmer, Cassii who is establishing his own town of Riverview.  Sadly, I just recently learned that my younger sisters, Nicola and Sylvia, were swept out to sea when they were playing on the beach and a big tidal wave came in and carried them out too fast for anyone to be able to rescue them.  They have also been buried next to each other by their mother.

This leaves me Oliver to carry on the family story with my new wife, Johanna by my side.   Through everything, I have learned that even though there is tragedy in life that there is always hope for those who are left behind to carry on.   Johanna and I pray that through love, patience, and living our lives with a positive attitude that we can pass the legacy of hope to our children and have this message  passed from generation to generation and that someday one of Silver's descendents can have that horse farm that my mother always dreamed about.

Johanna has settled well into life in Riverview and the more we got to know each other, the closer we found ourselves being drawn together and in no time at all Johanna and I were in love.  Instead of a big wedding, Johanna and I decided visit a romantic resort on a remote island that specializes in offering wedding packages to suit every relationship and get married there.  It was like a wedding and honeymoon all-in-one where there were no paparazzi to bother us.  I mean who wants those tale bearers following them around on their honeymoon.

Upon our return home Johanna and I found that our house had burned down along with all of our possessions while we were away.  When my wonderful brother Keiler found out he sent us a substantial amount of money for our wedding gift to help us in either building or buying a new home.  We then purchased a home at the corner of  Cotton Branch Drive and Riverview Road and after redecorating, adding a basement with a bathroom and family room and purchasing all new furniture our home was finally ready to move into.  Oh, and the best part is that we had enough money to get ourselves a Jacuzzi and a new pick-up truck.

After getting settled into our new home, Johanna and I went back to work at the hospital.  Somehow our employment records got lost and as a result we were demoted back to 'organ donors' who assist families in making that difficult decision to donate organs from their loved ones who have pronounced brain dead after suffering extensive head trauma.  It may not seem fair that we had to start our careers over but hey in times of economic crisis one must do what they are told by their boss if  they want to keep their jobs.   I'm sure that in no time Johanna and I will work our way back up in our medical field.

Please join Johanna and I as we welcome our first child into the world, a healthy baby girl named Susanna.  She has dark hair like her parents and has aged up into the cutest toddler that you ever did see.   As a parent, I may be a little bias in that statement but all parents should be partial to their own children.  Susanna is quite taken with her special doll that her aunt Charity sent her from Bayport.  Maybe someday we'll have Charity and her husband Frank visit us for a weekend as we now have lots of room having added an upstairs with five bedrooms and a bathroom.

Work is going well for both Johanna and I.  Since Johanna went back to work from maternity leave, she has already been promoted to paramedic.  I'm currently working as an intern at the hospital having completed my stint as a paramedic.  My boss gave my a raise today for making it easier for the nurses to get the children to take their vitamins.   The other day I also hosted my  first vaccination clinic at the local graveyard and Johanna should be doing hers in the next day or so.  Both Johanna and I have also treated our first patients off the job.  I was called to administer medical assistance to someone who developed a case of nausea while watching a movie with Johanna on our first date.  Johanna had a similar experience after she went to the bookstore one day and someone took suddenly ill.  It gave us a good feeling to be able to help others get well again.

Chapter Three:  A New Home

After things had settled into steady routine at home, we found that celebrity life has both it's ups and downs.  The upside is the discounts that many businesses offer you but the downside is lack of privacy.  I mean just the other night one of the paparazzi just waltzed right in and started taking pictures of Johanna and I in bed.   Having your picture taken when you're out and about everyday is one thing but when you're sleeping is an invasion of  one's privacy.   So, Johanna and I discussed the possibility of moving to a quieter, more private area, here in Riverview and after someone came in and stole Susanna's crib right out from underneath her, we decided that a move was definitely in order.

After checking the real estate market, we found a nice home with an upstairs, garage, and a nice fenced in backyard.  Our new home is located at 1098 Dogwood Lane and is known as the Corgi Chief house and is right next to the fire department.   We added five bedrooms and a family room upstairs where family and friends can hang out and for our exercise equipment.  I've also renewed my love for music by purchasing a piano and guitar to entertain our guests with.

Johanna and I threw a birthday party for Susanna when she aged up to a young child but unfortunately the guests didn't get to see her blow out her candles as she kept blocking the top of the stairs.  Finally her mother was able to pick her up and bring Susanna to her birthday cake but everyone had left by then, so that left Johanna and I to cheer her on.  Someday we hope to have a second child in the family and two children are probably all we can handle right now with our busy medical careers.

Both Johanna and I are now paramedics and have had our first vaccination clinics.  I had mine at the new kiddy park in town and Johanna went to the cemetery to do hers.  It's a good way to meet your fellow citizens and help prevent major illnesses to break out and keep everyone healthy.

Work has been very busy and my boss has had me travel to Egypt twice to bring back some scarab beetles for research at the hospital.  On my last trip there I had the opportunity to enter the Tomb of the Burning Sands and retrieve some flame fruit for a local and had enough left over to bring home for our garden.  I have recently been promoted to Gene Therapist and have conducted my first free clinic. Johanna and I also follow up with some of our patients with house calls and so far all have fully recovered from their illnesses.  Johanna is now a trauma surgeon and is on call for any emergency that comes up.

My brother-in-law, Keiler contacted us one day to see if we'd be interested in adopting a little boy whose parents had been killed in a car accident in Bridgeport.  He knew that we had been trying to have another child on our own and thought that little Carter would be perfect for us.  Johanna and I readily agreed and one of Bridgeport's social workers brought him to Riverview once Carter had recovered from injuries he sustained in the accident.  He is a precious little boy who has brought a whole lot of happiness into our home.  Susanna is thrilled to have a little brother to cuddle and help care for.  Our daughter is growing up fast and is already in her teen years and is doing well in school.

Chapter Four:  Family Life

A lot has happened since we last chatted,  Susanna has graduated from high school with top marks in her class and was valedictorian at her graduation.  Johanna and I are both very proud of her and she has since joined the local police department but has aspirations of living the lifestyle of the rich and famous.  We are pleased that Susanna has chosen a career that fits our legacy of providing hope to others.   Carter is now in high school,  I know time flies and it seems like yesterday we were changing his diapers.  Our son has done well in school so far and is bring home top marks in his studies.  Carter is looking to follow in his parent's footsteps and become a world renown surgeon.  It's still a little soon to choose our heir but Johanna and I would love our legacy to continue in the medical field which is a good place to provide hope to those who are in need with excellent medical care.

Johanna and I are also pleased to announce that a new baby boy was just born into the family and we named him Victor.  With a few years to go before reaching our senior years, Johanna and I  would love to have at least one more child.  We would be just as happy with grandchildren though as Susanna is about to marry her high school sweetheart, Ferby Childs  and then they will start a family of their own.  Even though they plan to move into their own home, I've asked Susanna to stop by once and awhile and keep you updated on important events in their lives like having babies for Johanna and I to spoil.

Our careers have taken off by leaps and bounds and I've already reached my goal of becoming world renown surgeon and once Johanna is back to work from maternity leave, I'm sure she'll join me as she only has two promotions to go to reach that distinction.  We love our careers especially doing the vaccination and free clinics as well as making some house calls to make sure all of our patients have recovered from their illnesses.  Llama's tail is something that goes around in our town and is the Sim version of a serious flu epidemic.  Us doctors like to have a little fun at our clinics so we get our patients to say 'moo' instead of  'ah' which helps put everyone at ease for their examinations.

Susanna and Ferby are now happily married and settled into their new lives as husband and wife.  Our daughter was such a beautiful bride, it brings tears of joy to my eyes just thinking about the wedding.  Johanna and I have decided to pass our legacy of hope on to Susanna to carry on into the second generation.  She has chosen to be in the law enforcement career as her way of offering hope by keeping the streets of Riverview safe and helping those in need. Susanna has proven her worth at the police department and has already been promoted to traffic cop.  Ferby wants to become a best selling author someday so he has joined the writer's career.  This allows him to work from home while he and Susanna raise their children and yes, they are expecting their first child.

Carter will be graduating from high school in a few days and then enter medical school as he looks to becoming a world renown surgeon like his parents.  He will continue to live at home until he finds a place of his own or gets married.  Johanna and I have told Carter that he is welcome to live at here as long as he wants though, even after marriage.  Victor is just about to start school and as a parent, I hope that he does well in his studies as well.

Johanna has just been promoted to neurosurgeon for her dedication to her work.  Logic is a skill that is very important in our careers but is hard to keep up with as our schedules are so hectic.  I've been working on improving my logic by searching the galaxy for new planets and stars and so far have discovered one new planet, and three stars.  Now that Johanna has reached senior years, she hopes to find more time to improve her skills as well.  My birthday is coming up in a few days and will be joining the ranks of senior life.  We are looking forward to our twilight years where we can still practice medicine for awhile and spoil our grandchildren for the time we have left on this earth.

Just after finishing my update, Susanna and Ferby sat down and had a long talk with Johanna and I after the children went to bed about Susanna's inheritance.  While, Susanna is honored that we would chose her to be heir,  she and Ferby want to find a place of their own at some point to raise their children.  I guess that Susanna knows her parents very well in that although Johanna and I would be happy with whatever career our children choose, that deep down we would love nothing more than seeing our heirs carry on our medical practice throughout generations to come.   That being said, Susanna has graciously passed her heir status onto her little brother Victor, who even before he started school decided he wanted to follow in his parents' footsteps and become a world renown surgeon.  Carter is in total agreement of this arrangement as he wants to  move to Twinbrook to live with his aunt Vicki and uncle Ryder Steel to set up his medical practice there.

My how time flies as Johanna and I would also like to announce the safe arrival of our first granddaughter, Adrianna born healthy and strong.  Shortly after Adrianna's birth, Susanna was at her boss, George Dean's house for a party when one of the guests, Elaine Joy, went into labor and she called me to meet the mother at the hospital to help with the delivery.  I get a thrill every time a baby is born into this world and this time was no different when Elaine's little boy, Darin was born.

Chapter Five:  Twilight Years

Ferby and Susanna along with little Adrianna left today as they began their move to Hidden Springs where Johanna was offered a transfer to the police department there.  Ferby plans to continue his writing career there while helping Susanna raise their little family while she is at work everyday.  They caught the morning flight and plan to be their new home by tonight.  Susanna will update you once their settled as to their address and everything.

Shortly after they left, Johanna decided to return to Egypt to get the scarab beetles for her boss unfortunately, she was only able to find two.  One of the locals wanted her to deliver some very nice pomegranates but she could only find low end quality ones so, Johanna brought some home to grow and will deliver them once she harvests the new trees.   She also had fun exploring most of the Great Pyramid and has reached milestones in disarming traps and clearing rock piles.

I just reached my senior years but because of my daily exercise routine, I only feel like forty.  They say you're as old as you feel.  Hopefully the Grim Reaper will see it that way and not come for me for a long time.  Johanna and I threw a birthday party for Carter as he just became a young adult and will be joining his parents in the medical field.  At this time, he is not romantically involved with anyone but that could change at anytime and Victor is still in grade school.  Victor is one bright young man and also wants to be a world renown surgeon like his parents.

A few days after Carter's birthday,  Johanna returned to Egypt to get the rest of the scarab beetles for the hospital's research lab.  While there, she completed my last task for me and delivered an ancient relic to Mr Diab, who is heading an operation to infilterate the Morcucorp's headquarters.  Johanna was assigned the job of hacking into their main computer in Samir Amin's secret headquarters in his basement.   Fortunately Samir and Johanna became quick friends, so he wasn't too upset about the intrusion.  I'm planning to head back to Egypt myself, so I'll probably get the task of finding the Relic of Life for Mr Diab.  Johanna already got a head start on that task, so it should take too long to complete.

Victor has also just aged up to teenager and is starting high school, he also wants to be a surgeon, so I think our legacy is turning into one of world class surgeons who provide hope to our patients and their families in times of need.   Carter was able to make his imaginary friend, Cara real with a rainbow gem that Johanna brought home from her last trip.  Cara turned out to be not much older than Victor and is a very sweet girl and Johanna and I consider her to be our adopted daughter whether or not she marries one of our sons.

Carter is doing quite well in his medical career and is now and intern at the hospital.  Earlier this week, he had his first vaccination clinic where he was able to give everyone that came to him their shots.  I guess Johanna and I have vaccinated most of the town with our clinics, so there are not as many people coming to the vaccination clinics at this time.  Carter is going to be a wonderful, gentle doctor as he told me that not one of his patients cried out when he gave them their vaccines.

Our eldest son will soon be leaving us though as he has received a job offer in a hospital in a neighboring town.  This will leave Victor to carry on the Day family legacy of Hope into the third generation.  Just as Johanna and I had secretly hoped,  Victor and Cara became romantically involved at their prom so expect a wedding shortly after he graduates from high school as Cara will be graduating first.  Carter has decided to wait until after Victor and Cara are married before he leaves for his new job.

Well the time has come for Johanna and I to starting thinking about retiring from our careers as we are getting well on into our senior years.  Don't be surprised though if we just work until the Grim Reaper comes for us as my wife and I are the happiest when we are taking care of our patients.  I have recently the top of both my guitar and athletic skills and am hoping to master the logic and piano skills.

I would like to take this time to thank all of our wonderful friends for following our story and now it is time to hand the Day legacy over to Victor to continue.  Johanna and I will both cherish all the friendships we've made in telling our story.  May you all have lives that are full of hope, good health, and love.

Your friends,
Oliver and Johanna Day

Leaving a Legacy of Service to Others

Chapter One:  New Beginnings in Sunset Valley

Hi, my name is Grace Duff and have recently moved to Sunset Valley with my new husband, Tobias to take a position in the local police force where my mother was employed many years ago as a forensic specialist.  My dream though is to become an international super spy while raising a family and growing a wonderful garden with all the fruits and vegetables that one can imagine.   We built a nice starter home across from the Bunches on Maywood Lane, near the park where our children can play.

Tobias has gotten a position with the local business office and already has a promotion.  He also earned his first celebrity badge by befriending his badge, so now the paparazzi come around every night.   I love my job in the police force and have already been promoted to traffic cop and have become best friends with my partner, Hank Goddard.   My boss wants me to learn martial arts, so will be traveling to China when the household funds allow it.  I've also heard that the elementary school, here, gets their students to bring in a relic from China or Egypt for display, so I'll bring one home with me when I go.

Tobias and I found out about a little baby girl that someone mysteriously left at the hospital a few days ago who needed a home.  We were only too glad to adopt and shower her with all the love she needs and deserves to grow up into a happy adult.  The local social department brought her over to us and we named her Genna and she is just precious.  I only hope that we can be as good parents to her as mine were to me.   Since I bring the higher salary, Tobias has decided to take some time off work to help raise our little girl through her formative years.

Since Genna arrived in our lives things have gotten very busy and hectic around the Duff house.  Tobias takes care of our little girl when I'm at work and when she's sleeping he likes to play his guitar or dance to the radio.  About a couple of Sim years after we adopted Genna,  I became pregnant with our first child who will probably be heir to our estate when we are gone.  Tobias and I  threw a wonderful birthday party for Genna as she aged up into a toddler.  Ayeisha, on of our guests also celebrated her adulthood birthday at the same time.   The next day, Tobias needed to get out of the house so he took Genna to the new children's playground that just opened in town.  Erin Kennedy was there and she introduced Genna to the spring riders while Tobias was chatting with Victoria Andrews.
Playtime at the park was cut short when I went into labor and they arrived at the hospital just in time for the arrival of our son, Elias, into the world.  He was born with the brave and clumsy traits.

Before going off on maternity leave, I was promoted to patrol officer by my boss.  The extra money will come handy now that we have two children and will need to soon start working on the upstairs.  Tobias goes back to work in the morning as it is my turn to take care of the children.  My boss wants me to learn martial arts, so hopefully I can get Tobias to take a trip to China to get the training dummy and board breaker as well as bring a couple of relics back for the children for when they start school.

Well that's all the news for now, hope that everyone is having a super-duper day.  Many thanks goes out to the Kincaid family for making our town safe once more.  The Alto's are out on bail in our town but don't worry as a police officer who is sworn to protect the innocent will keep a close eye on them to make sure they don't try to organized any more illegal activities.

Chapter Two:  The Start of a Legacy

After the birth of Elias, Tobias and I discussed what sort of legacy or values we wanted to leave our children and descendents with.  While faithfulness and a stable home life is essential in any household, my parents also taught their children both in word and deed in importance of serving others and helping neighbors and friends in times of need.   As a police officer this is very important to always be available to help whether it be catching criminals to keep our streets safe,  helping a lost child find their way home, or just doing odd jobs around the neighborhood, service is one way to build trust and friendship with those around you. In Tobias' job service can be seen in provide honest and affordable business services for our citizens and make sure that the local business do not try to take advantage of the consumer.  Like the old saying goes, "Do unto others as you have them do unto you"  and this is what we want to leave with our children and teach them to help others in whatever profession they choose in life and to always be ready help others  when needed.

Back on the homefront, the renovations of our house have been completed and our house now has an upstairs with four bedrooms, a bathroom, and a family room to support our growing family.  Tobias is doing well at his job and has been promoted to report processor.  Genna will be starting school in a few days and just has to finish potty training before her birthday.  Elias' birthday is tomorrow when he will age up into a toddler and then Tobias and I can teach him how to walk, talk and potty which is a fun time for us as the toddler stage gives us bonding time with our children.

There's not that much else that's newsy.  I'll be going back to work in a few days.  Unfortunately we've also received word that there will be no traveling at this time as a tornado destroyed the local airport and it will be awhile before it is rebuilt.  In the meantime, an emergency flights will leave from the army airstrip but no commercial flights.

My boss, Justine Keaton, really wanted me to learn martial arts so she used her contacts and had the airport rebuilt a lot sooner than expected so that I could travel to China.  Martial Arts is something I've wanted to learn anyway to improve my athletic abilities, so I was glad to oblige and left for China a few days after Elias became a toddler and just before Genna's birthday.  In addition to learning the martial arts skill, one of the locals wanted me to find a special vase for them in the Halls of the Lost Army which I gladly agreed to do.  Knowing that sometimes elementary school students are also asked to bring in a relic from China or Egypt, I also explored the caverns under the market and found several Chinese relics to bring home.  Tobias' boss, Nick Alto, wants him to bring him five common relics.  I have to go back to China at some point to continue my martial arts training, so I'll bring back more relics then.  If I'd had known Tobias would need some relics for his job I wouldn't have sold all the ones that I brought back from my first trip except for the ones that our children would need for school.

Tobias threw a wonderful birthday party for Genna and she aged up into the cutest young girl with beautiful blonde hair as my brother so lovely calls her his 'blonde bomber niece'.  Today was her first day at school which always makes a parent a little anxious.  Elias will be starting school later this week.

My garden is finally starting to take shape and am now able to plan uncommon fruits and vegetables like lime trees, watermelon, and mystery seeds that I found around town.  Tobias is also becoming quite a musician and loves to play his guitar and drums.  Maybe someday he can earn extra money by playing a various local functions.

Chapter Three:  Family Life

One day after returning from China, Tobias and I spent a nice evening together and by the end of it we were expecting our third child.  Silas entered the world a couple of days after Elias started school and is a bright, healthy baby boy.   Both Genna and Elias have done well in school and both want to be world renown surgeons when they grow up just like their uncle Keiler.  Shortly after Elias started school, another little boy was born into the family and we named him Jonas.

Genna and Elias are now in high school and were voted prom Queen and King by their student peers and have both entered into romantic relationships.   The day before the prom, Genna's high school friend,  Caryn Ursine to ask Genna to be her date to which she said yes.   You guessed it, Genna has entered into an exclusive relationship with Caryn.  This is not a relationship that Tobias and I  are thrilled about but Caryn is a nice girl and Genna has to make her own decisions in life.  Elias is also in the beginning stages of a relationship with Corra Tomlinson who is from a new family that recently moved to Sunset Valley.

Tobias is doing great in the business world and has not only reached his lifetime goal of CEO (before his midlife birthday) but is now at the top of his career.  In his spare time, Tobias loves to play his music, dance wildly and just have a good time.   He is also a loving father but will discipline his children if he has to.  It pained him to do so, but Tobias had to ground Elias the other night for staying out past his curfew.  Sometimes I have to calm him down though has he tends to lecture his son over and over but I think Elias has learned his lesson.

My career is progressing more slowly than Tobias's as I am still a patrol officer.  That's what happens though when you keep having children keep having to back on maternity leave.  Tobias and I want one more child and then hopefully once I get back to work full time, then advancement in my career will happen faster.

A few days after Jonas became a toddler, my boss asked me to travel abroad and bring her back three more relics to inspect for illegal trade.  I decided to go back to China to get them and to complete a lesson in martial arts that one of the locals was teaching me.  First he had me spar twice with one of his best martial arts students who defeated me in both matches two to one.  Once I reach level five, I'll be returning to China again to mediate at the Scholar's Garden for two hours as part of my martial arts lessons.   As for the relics I brought back for my boss, Justine found some illegal items in one of them so she was very pleased and gave me a raise and a promotion and I'm now official part of the Special Forces unit of the police department.

Back on the home front,  Elias and Corra are now official dating and expect them to be engaged shortly after Elias graduates from high school.  Elias also seems to be taking after his father as he loves to dance whenever he gets the chance. Both of our eldest children along with Silas are bring home top grades which makes Tobias and I very happy.

Just a short time ago, Tobias and I adopted a baby girl that had been found abandoned at the local junkyard by someone who had gone to look for scrap metal.  My partner Hank and I responded to the police call and  fell in love the little girl and could not believe that someone was so heartless as to leave a baby at the junkyard of all places.  After getting her checked out at the hospital, I took her home and Tobias fell in love with her as well and we adopted her as our own.  Tobias decided to take a few days off work to care for our precious bundle of joy.  Now our little Gillian will never have to worry about being left alone again as she is adored by the whole family.  My sister, Vaunda even sent her cute doll that she found on one of her travels.  Vaunda sends her regards to everyone and says that she is having the time of her life and doing odd jobs here and there to keep herself fed, clothed and sheltered and as met many interesting people along the way.

Chapter Four:  A New Place to Call Home

Things have been pretty interesting at the Duff household.  Not too long after graduation, Genna and Caryn decide to move in together in a neighboring town where they had both been offered jobs in their respective careers.  Tobias and I miss her but we are happy that she is making a life for herself.  Elias has graduated from high school with honors and was nominated to be class valedictorian.  He is starting his medical career at the beginning of next week.  Silas is in high school now and is studying hard to make it on the honor roll.  Jonas, on the other hand, skipped too many school days and was not as diligent in doing his homework and as a result his marks are in the C range.  Tobias and I hope that he turns things around in high school as he becomes a teenager today.  Our youngest Gillian just celebrated her birthday and starts school on Monday.

Just before Tobias graduated we had to move to a new house as our old house was damaged by an electrical storm and somehow all the locks got jammed and those who were inside the house at the time could not leave.  Fortunately  I was outside with Gillian at the time, so I was able to call the power company to have the power shut off long enough to get the rest of the family out.  We found out our house suffered too much damage, so our insurance company helped us find another house located at 28 Sim Lane and after a few renovations to the upstairs and basement family room added under the carport we were able to move in.

The other main news of the day is that our son, Elias is finally engaged to be married to his high school sweetheart, Corra Tomlinson and they are the cutest couple.  At his bachelor party, Tobias surprised him by hiring party dancers to liven the party.  Of course, Tobias did a pretty good job of entertaining the guests with his guitar playing and wild countertop dancing.  We plan to have the wedding at the local chapel on Sunday afternoon with family and friends in attendance.  I'm sure there will be lots of pictures to share when it's over.   Tobias and I so excited for Tobias and Corra and can't wait until we have grandchildren to spoil rotten as we enter our senior years.

Chapter Five:  Weddings, Proms  and Graduations

Elias and Corra are now happily married and their wedding was beautiful.  It is so wonderful to see true love blossoming and in the short time they've been married, Elias and Corra have already received the 'eternally faithful' reputation. This makes me think of my parents and the love they had for each other and I'm humbled to think that their legacy of faithfulness is still being seen in their grandchildren even though service has been the main theme of the Duff family.  No matter what legacy the Steel siblings  pass on in their own families, faithfulness will always live on in the Steel generations to come.   Tobias and I are pleased to announce that we are expecting our first grandchild and of course, like all grandparents we'll be spoiling our grandkids with lots of love and gifts here and there, whether they live in the household or not.

Silas and Jonas have both just attended their proms and have found their lifetime partners.  Silas was asked to the dance by his classmate Janette Hendren who confessed her attraction to  and kissed him at the prom.  They became really smitten with each other as they were never apart the whole night.  Since Janette became a young adult last night, Silas will have to wait until graduation before they are official dating but that won't be long.  Jonas was also invited to the prom by his best friend, Dustin Corbett and you guessed it, they are now in love with each other.  While Tobias and I would have preferred a different arrangement, we are letting our children choose their own pathways in life and will never stop loving them no matter which lifestyle they choose.  Will keep you posted though on future wedding plans for Silas and Janette.  Just a side note,  Silver was telling me that she has a cousin in real life who is named Janette, small world isn't it?

Both Silas and Jonas have made the honor roll in high school and Tobias and I both hope that Silas can keep that standing as he has a tendency to skip school sometimes and we have to make him go to school.  Gillian will be entering high school in a couple of days and is currently getting high grades as well.  Elias has just started his medical career and Corra has joined the local soccer team but is currently on maternity leave.

Shortly after my last update, Elias and Corra welcomed their first child into the world and she is the cutest little bundle of joy that you ever did see.  Grandparents are suppose to say that about their first grandchild, I'm sure that Tobias and I will think that about all the grandchildren that we will privileged to see born before our time on this earth is over.   The proud parents named their little girl, Farrah and my nephew, Ryder sent her a special doll to welcome her birth.   Farrah just became a toddler and named her doll, Valla and has taken to playing with her right of the bat.

Before Farrah's birthday both Corra and I took separated trips to China.  My boss wanted me to mingle with the citizens there and learn more of their culture for an upcoming undercover assignment at the police department.  Corra was asked by her sister, Anna, to find out about a secret training technique from a local that helps improve one's athletic skills.  We both had a lot of fun, I was able to complete an adventure a the Absolute Fist Retreat as part of my martial arts training by the local Special Merchant, Li Yuan.   Corra did some odd jobs for some locals like catch some special fish for the Scholar's Garden's ponds and help Chan Su with his research project on the Dragon's Maw.

Silas will soon be getting married to his girlfriend, Janette Hendren as he has just reached his young adult years.  After graduation, he plans to get a place of his own and then they will have a quiet wedding on their own.  Tobias and I happy for him and wish him all the best as they start a new life together and look forward to more grandchildren to spoil.

Chapter Six:  Move to Twinbrook

Scout Sargent of the Twinbrook Police Department, heard that I was almost an international super spy and contacted me with an offer to join their team.  Apparently they got wind of a planned missile attack by the local crime syndicate and needed my help in disarming their secret weapon.  I readily accepted the offer and challenge and Tobias and I along with most of the family quickly packed our things and hired moving company to move us.  Silas stayed behind in Sunset Valley as he had just purchased his own home and getting it ready for when he gets married to Janette.

Our real estate agent in Sunset Valley found us a nice lot located at 16 Puddlewick Drive in Twinbrook to where we could move our house.  We had put a lot of work into renovating the house next to Mosquito Cove that we decided to hire a company that specializes in moving premade homes and take our house with us as it would save a lot time and money in building a new one.

A few days after settling into our new jobs and schools, the chief of police gave me the location of the secret weapon and that evening was successful in disarming the device.   The people of Twinbrook can rest easy again as another plot in the local crime syndicate was foiled.   I will be ready to defend my fellow citizens again if any further terrorist plans are uncovered.

Elias is doing well in medical school and is now a paramedic and recently held his first vaccination clinic.  His boss also wanted him to go to Egypt to catch some scarab beetles for medical research. Elias just returned from his trip but unfortunately was short one beetle so will have to go back at later date with some home grown flame fruit for one of the locals as his contact forgot to give him the key to the Pyramid of the Burning Sands.  Tobias and I just glad he made it home safely as he accidentally woke up a mummy in the tomb but managed to escape unscathed.   Our brave son, wants to defeat a mummy someday but we advised him against it as we don't want the mummy leaving him with a deadly curse and I'm sure that Corra and his little girl, Farrah want to have him around for a long time.

Chapter Seven: It's Good to be Home A few months ago, we all decided to take sabaticals from our stressful jobs and take an extended vacation to a little tropical island in the middle of Sim Ocean. The family had lots of fun swimming, sunbathing, building sandcastles and all the stuff that people do while on vacation. As with all vacations, they tend to come to end way too quick and it was soon time for us to head back to our regular lives or so we thought. Upon returning home we found that our jobs had be filled by others as our bosses thought we weren't coming back, how silly of them. Luckily, a new job offer was waiting for me in our mailbox and I was asked to join the police department in a town called Hidden Springs. After packing up all of our stuff and hiring a moving van, we moved to Hidden Springs as my position was to start on Monday morning. Tobias and I found a nice lot on Sunstone Court and rebuilt our house and got ourselves all moved in. Tobias joined the local business office as their head broker. Elias got a job at the local hospital as a bed pan cleaner at first as the paramedic positions were full at the time but has since been promoted back to paramedic and Corra joined the local soccer team as a 'rabid fan'. Jonas and Gillian are in high school and looking to regain their high academic standings. Our little granddaughter is just enjoying being a toddler and playing with her special doll while learning the important things she needs to know to grow up happy and healthy. She has learned to walk and talk and we are in the process of teaching her to potty. Well that's all the news in a nutshell for now and the Duff family would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our friends to our new home in Hidden Springs. Hope that you have a great day and play safe.

Your friend,
Grace

The Steel Legacy: Generation 2, A Legacy of Faithfulness

Chapter One:  Life Goes On

Life has gotten settled into a nice little routine.  Tobias Duff has moved into the household in preparation of his upcoming marriage to Grace and got a job at the local business office.  Grace is settling in quite nice into her police career.  Even though Tobias and Grace will be moving to Sunset Valley after the wedding and Mom's funeral, they wanted to get a head start in their careers.  I've also been promoted to resident status at the hospital.  Vaunda is settling into her internship at the science lab in hopes of becoming a top notch scientist and robot creator someday.  She has become friends with one of her co-workers, Mikhail Starke and we'll have to wait and see if this new friendship develops into anything more.

Well Grace's big wedding day finally arrived and she got the most beautiful wedding dress and Tobias outfitted himself in a smashing tux.  The evening quickly turned to tragedy as the Grim Reaper had to crash yet another wedding and took two guests.  Why he couldn't wait until after the ceremony I'll never know.  This time it was Tobias's father who passed away leaving him to mourn his loss.  My heart breaks for my new brother-in-law as I had lost my father on my wedding day so I know what he is going through.  With lots of love from Grace and support from the rest of us, we will endeavor to ease the pain of Tobias's loss.  Grace's police partner, Erika Talon was the other wedding guest who past away.

Instead of having three separate memorial services,  we decided to have one service for the recently deceased a few days after Tobias and Grace's wedding.  I sent out the invitations and many came to show  their respects.  Of course, Mr. Reaper had come and get two more of my guests, one of whom was Mikhail Starke, who recently aged up to a senior.  Grace was so upset that she had a pillow fight with the Grim Reaper to release her pent up grief and anger over the recent deaths.  I personally can think of other things than a pillow to club that party crasher with but who wants to get arrested for causing bodily harm to the Grim Reaper.  You can imagine the news headlines if that happened.

After things settled back into a routine, Tobias and Grace moved to Sunset Valley to begin their new jobs and to raise a family of their own.  I'm happy to report that I already have a new niece as Tobias and Grace adopted a baby girl who was abandoned at the Sunset Valley Hospital.  They named her Genna and sent me pictures of their precious little bundle of joy.   Isaac and Carol are doing well in Twinbrook have adopted an orphaned baby boy whom they named Ian.    Vaunda has received a job offer at the Science Lab in Sunset Valley that she has accepted and has moved into  a nice little starter home.  To help her get settled, Alicia and I gave Vaunda a portion of the money that Dad and Mom had saved for their children to help her get settled into her new home.   Charity just moved to Twinbrook to take a job offer she received to work for the local government there.   She also plans to further her writing career by writing mystery stories on the side.  Charity knows how to surprise everybody in that she met Frank Hardy on her flight to Twinbrook and they fell in love and are now married and expecting their first child.   Johanna is the only sibling left in town and hopefully her true love will come to sweep her off her feet so she can start her own family as well.

Alicia and I are thinking of buying a new home as our yard has become a graveyard with all the deaths that have occurred recently.  We will take Chris and Jan's tombstones with us, of course but are tired of being left with the tombstones of everyone that have died on our property.   I want the home that we raise our children in to be one of life and not death.

I am now a trauma surgeon at the hospital and am keep quite busy as the ER is full of trauma and regular patients that need to be attended to.  Alicia is also busy with taking care of Tyler and finding time for her sculpting, inventions, and painting.   My boss asked me to go to Egypt to get some scarab beetles for their research department and I readily agreed and was given three days off to complete my mission.   I had a lot of fun exploring caves and making new friends on my first trip to Egypt even though the desert heat was almost too much for me but enjoyed learning about a new culture and even got to go inside a pyramid.

Chapter Two:  A New Place to Call Home

After Alicia and I got our lives back together after Mom's funeral we decided to build a new house to raise our family as we want our home to be house of love and life and not of death.  We purchased some land on Applewood Drive and built a beautiful new home with a two car garage, swimming pool,  made a garden plot for Alicia, and a little memorial garden for Chris and Jan's tombstones so that Alicia and I can teach our children about the wonderful legacy of faithfulness they left behind.

eternally faithful to each other, just like my dad and mom were.   The legacy that we want see past down from generation to generation is one of faithfulness and we pray that each of our family heirs and children will be faithful to whomever they marry.  In a world where marriages fall apart and is seen by many as a game, it is wonderful that there are still those who know what true love is and value marriage as a life long commitment to love each other until death do them part.

Tyler has aged up into a bright young boy who is already earning A's in school.  He already has chosen is lifetime wish to become a Creature-Robot Cross Breeder and with his natural inventing abilities and ambition, our son will no doubt achieve his goal.  Please join Alicia and I in welcoming our new little pride and joy into the world, a baby brother for Tyler named Ryder  who has genius capabilities and has a good spirit like his mother.   Alicia has developed a love for caffeinated beverages and sometimes as the doctor in the family I have to make her go to bed when she is tired or she would stay up all night on a caffeine high.   Due to the current airline strike we are not able to travel but that's OK as I miss my family when I'm away  and we'd rather spend quality time together at home anyway.

Now for some news from our siblings.  Isaac and Carol have been offered new positions in their respective careers in a the seaside town of Barnacle Bay and will be moving there with Tyler in a few days.  Johanna has settled in nicely with  Oliver Day in Riverview and I wouldn't be surprised if we hear wedding bells from them in the near future.  Charity has moved back to Frank's hometown of Bayport to help him set up his private investigator business with his brother Joe and Vaunda decided to quit her job and travel around the world and where she'll end up nobody knows.

Please join Alicia and me as we raised our children and strive to meet our lifetime goals.  Raising our family with lots of love and teaching them good moral values is the most important desire that we, as parents, have for our lives.

Since we've last chatted, I've been promoted to Gene Therapist at work and now have extra responsibilities like providing some free medical and vaccination clinics for anyone who has a health issue.  Sometimes these clinics make me late for work afterward, though and then I get chewed out by my boss but that's the life of doctor, too much work to do and not enough time to do it in and you're expected to be in two or more places at once.   Alicia has become quite good in her sculpting business, she just crafted an ice sculpture of The Thinker worth 998 Sim dollars.   Tyler is also showing a talent for sculpting as well but he'll probably do that on the side as he wants to be a top scientist when he graduates from high school.

A couple of years after Ryder became a toddler, Alicia and I welcomed our third boy into the world whom we named Kirk.  Ryder will soon be starting school and Kirk has already aged up into the cutest toddler with a full head of dark brown hair.  Kirk was sent a special doll from his Uncle Isaac to play with.   It's hard to believe that Alicia just became a senior and I'm not too far off from that age bracket, myself but it seems like yesterday that we were just married.  Alicia and I went out on a date the other day to the newest restaurant in town, The Scrumptious Nibbles Cafe which is already becoming a popular place to eat.  As always we ended our evening watching the stars together.   We will probably be adopted a baby girl soon as Alicia has always wanted a girl and I know of an orphaned little girl who is currently recovering at the hospital from the house fire that took her parents.  She will soon be well enough to be adopted.

Tyler can be quite the troublemaker when he goes through one of his teen hormonal imbalance.  Just yesterday, he pulled a prank on the shower with some dye that turned his dad's hair blue when I took a shower.  Luckily it washed out easily or I might have been a little upset.  Apparently he also did something to the shower in the main floor bathroom, so we'll see what happens there.  I can't complain too much has Tyler is really great with his little brothers.

Chapter Three:  Twilight Years

My how time flies,  it just seems like yesterday that Alicia and I were teaching our children to walk, talk, and party and I guess it was for Felicia  but we now have no more toddlers in the house.  It makes my eyes water to think that all of our children are growing up.  The three boys all wanted to be master scientists when they grew up, however Tyler has changed his mind and now wants to be a painter, which suits him well due to his artistic capabilities which he gets from his mother.   Ryder is just starting high school and still wants to be a robot-creature breeder someday and Kirk also wants to follow in his brother's footsteps.  Felicia just celebrated her birthday as well and starts school, tomorrow.  She developed the technophobe trait so we'll what career path Felicia will take as she grows older.  We will all be headed down to the City Hall later to see Tyler graduate from high school with honors.

I am now a neurosurgeon at the hospital but still hold many vaccination, free health clinics, and give seminars at local business on workplace safety.  Alicia is a wonderful sculptor and her last piece was commissioned by the local police department as she was asked to do an ice sculpture of a fellow Sim and of course she chose her husband to be her model.  The sculpture turned out great and was worth more than 800 Sim dollars.

One of my close co-workers passed away at our son Kirk's birthday as the Grim Reaper came and took two of our guests.  Fortunately only one gravestone got left behind.  Alicia and I decided not to let our yard become a local burying place so I took the tombstone to the local cemetery where it belongs.

Life has been pretty busy at  the Steel house.  Alicia's sculpting career is going well and has recently created a masterpiece stone sculpture of Hercules worth (you might want to sit down for this) 4531 Sim dollars.  We have it on display on our front walkway and Alicia was sent a special reward for her work.  The other day, I was awarded a special trophy by the city for the work that I put into my vaccination clinics which help to keep our fellow citizens healthy.

Tyler was valedictorian of his graduating class making his parents and siblings proud of his accomplishments.  He has started his science career and has already been promoted to the third level which is a 'Useless Contraption Manipulator'  where he makes everything useful, I guess.  Ryder and Kirk are both doing well in high school.  Felicia has just aged up into the most beautiful teenage girl and is also off to great start in her classes as well.  Shortly after Felicia started elementary school and young homeless girl by the name of Patricia was brought into the hospital after she was found unconcious down on the wharf.   She became very special to me as I was treating her and after discussing with Alicia, we gladly adopted her and Patricia now has a loving family and place to call home.  She is a bright young girl and always brightens everyone's day and has a great sense of humor.

Alicia decided that housework was getting to be too much for her, so we hired a butler by the name of Antione Ward  to help us out.  He does a great job but all the cooking he does for us, the family is sure to gain a lot of weight but his meals are so scrumptous like his lobster thermador and French Toast for breakfast we are certainly being well fed.  Antione is also very handy as he fixes things that get broken.

With Alicia and I nearing the end of our lives on earth, we wonder which of our children will be heir to our estate and carry on the Steel legacy of faithfulness.  I'm sure that will be revealed though in time.  Since we now have five children, Alicia has changed her lifetime wish to raising them all to successful teens preparing for their lives that are before them.   This will be accomplished in a few days as Patricia will soon be starting high school.

Chapter Four:  Preparing for the Third Generation of the Steel Legagy

A person doesn't realize how short life is until they are nearing the close of their lives and then wonders where did the time go.  Alicia and I are coming to that time where we will soon say goodbye to our family and friends and hand the legacy of our family to the next generation which will be headed by our second eldest son, Ryder to continue our story.   Our children are all growing up will soon be out in the workforce striving to fulfill their lifetime wishes while carrying on with the values that we, as parents, have endeavored to teach them.  I have finally fulfilled my lifetime wish of becoming a world renown surgeon and will probably continue to practice medicine for awhile longer as there are many patients left for me to care for and we have a shortage of doctors here in Bridgeport.

Tyler has settled well into his career as a scientist and has already had a few promotions in recognition of his hard work.   He is also the first to move out on his own and has found a nice apartment at 32 Canal Street and we helped him move in just the other day.  Kirk will be graduating from high school in a few days along with his sisters, Felicia and Patricia and they are all currently on the honor roll.  Felicia has decided that her goal in life is to be an astronaut so she will be joining the military upon graduation.  Patricia has yet to decide what she wants to do but Alicia and I are confident that she will succeed at whatever she chooses.  She also seems to have crush on our butler, Antione so we will have to see what happens in that regard.   Kirk has been communicating with Mitzi Cal from Twinbrook via email and they have become good friends and they plan to get together when he moves to the new town of Hidden Valley to work at the science center there.  Mitzi is planning to open her aquarium there at around the same time, so we'll what happens with their relationship from there.

That leaves Ryder to carry on our legacy, here in Bridgeport.  Things were looking pretty grim in the romance department for awhile until Oliver Day called to ask me if his sister, Vicki could live with us for awhile as she had just been offered a job with the Bridgeport police force.  Alicia and I both welcomed her into our home with open arms and since she moved in, Ryder has been smitten by her beauty and they have become fast friends.  We will have to see where their relationship leads but are hopeful that Vicki turns out to be the one for our son as Oliver has been a great blessing to our family since he married my sister, Johanna.

Alicia and I would like to take this opportunity to thank our friends for joining us in our story and helping us make through both the good and difficult experiences of our lives.  It has been an honor to carry the legacy that my parents left through the second generation and the time has come to hand the reigns over to Ryder to continue the Steel legacy with faithfulness continuing to be the underlying theme.

With best wishes for all of your Sim families may each generation make you proud and carry on the values that important to all of us throughout their lives.

Take care and stay healthy, with love,

Keiler and Alicia
