Jan's House of Blues- Prologue to Generation 2, Part Two by Keiler

Life has been difficult without Dad.  Mom decided to retire from the daycare business as she was finding it to hard to cope without Christopher.   I think a big round of applause and congratulations should go to my mother, Jan Steel, for all the hard work she put into her two careers.  Before moving to Bridgeport, she had reached the top of the police force in Sunset Valley and then reached level five in daycare, plus raising six children of her own, Mom led a very productive life.  No matter how busy things got, Mom would always take time to make sure our needs were always met and encouraged us to follow our dreams.   Mom also hired a butler, Malissa Vidal, to help take care of the house and she is great at keeping the place clean and fixes us delicious meals.

Two days after Christopher's death we held a funeral in his honor remembering all the good things he did for others.  Everyone had something nice to say about Dad which helped ease the pain of his loss.  Dad would have been proud of Isaac, Vaunda, and Grace who all graduated a few days later with honors and Isaac was selected to be valedictorian of the graduation class.

Mom threw a wonderful birthday party for Vaunda and Grace the day before graduation and invited family and friends.   Both Charity and Johanna were able to come and Mom gave them new outfits to wear as well.   Grace seems to be developing a little romantic relationship with her friend Tobias Duff and we'll have more on that a little later.   The birthday party was extra special as well because Alicia gave birth to our first son, Tyler, who looks just like his proud father.  Mom was thrilled as well to see her first grandchild born into the family.

Alicia is self employed as a sculpture and she wants to master sculpting, inventing, and painting skills during her lifetime.  She is very artistic, so I'm sure that Alicia can do anything she puts her mind to.  I'm now a paramedic in the medical field so my dream is processing along quite well.

Shortly after graduation,  Isaac was offered a job at the Science Lab in Twinbrook which he decided to accept and moved there a few days ago.  I am very happy for Isaac and wish him all the best in his new endeavors.  Isaac sent us a telegram saying that he is getting settled and has met the most wonderful girl, Carol Funke and they were married in a quiet ceremony and already have their first child, Ian.   I'm sure my new sister-in-law will give you all the details.  Vaunda has gotten a job at the local science center and Grace has joined the police force as she wants to become an international super spy.

Sadly, Mom passed away two days ago leaving the family to mourn her loss.  Even Alicia had grown to love her as her second mother.  We will be hosting Mom's memorial service in a couple days and she has already been laid to rest next to Dad.   Although our parents are gone, they will continue to live on in our hearts and we will make sure that our children and grandchildren know all about the life that Chris and Jan lived and the legacy that they left for their children no matter where they live.

On a brighter note,  Tobias and Grace have fallen in love and are now engaged.  They plan to get married sometime after Jan's memorial service and then move to Sunset Valley as Grace wants to work in police department where her mother worked.  Vaunda will probably stay with us for now until her true love comes along and sweeps her off her feet.

Well, Jan's house of blues has now become Keiler's House of Artists  and Musicians as I'm developing a name for myself in the music world on the side.  Stay tuned for further developing news.

Keiler.
